So lets look at this objectively.
1)Nade is better then TNT - not only does it damage, and heal, it also marks someone for death.
2)Ana has no drop-off - the lack of a headshot ability just means one extra body-shot, which is not that hard of an ask.
3)Ana has no mobility options - but her defensive skill is probably the best CC ability in the game if you can land it.
4)Bob is awesome - but he’s stupidly easy to counter with sleep-dart - Nano is a total fight winner when you combo it with Visor or Blade.
5)Unlike Ashe - who only has one way of charging her Ult - Ana can also charge Ult by shooting her allies (The healing effect is a happy side-effect).
In short - The Egyptian granny is just a better overall character then albino menace.
Ana is one of the best healers in the game. If she’s taking time out to do damage then there is a clear problem with match-making and your team is just steamrolling.
Doesn’t mark, just impairs healing. Biotic Grenade is problematic, however, so this is true.
Lack of headshot is due to the fact that her damage is over time - which means it ignores armor effects. Ana always does full damage regardless of target (except against Fortify-effects).
Unsurprising.
Or a variety of different heroes who can make full use of it. It’s dependent on them, though.
True, but Ashe’s dynamite has almost twice the explosive range as Biotic Grenade.
Not unusual. Supports were designed to be stronger than their Damage-role partners. Same with Tanks. There’s no 1:1 equivalency between roles here, never was and never intended.
Partially true. 1.25 shots for Ana, while 1.54 shots for Ashe. Ashe can also critically hit, but Ana shots are a little wider and a lot easier to hit.
It’s not just impactful, Ana and most Supports are intended to be stronger than their Damage-role peers.
Ana does full damage to all targets, even those with armor. Ashe does not have this luxury.
Ashe will still do more damage, over time, than Ana. Dynamite guarantees that 100 damage over 5 seconds. Even if the refresh rate is 7 seconds vs. Ana’s 6.
