Ana has almost 100% pickrate. Every match, there is an Ana

Other high skill heroes have been nerfed before. Some multiple times.

The point still stands: 100% utility buff on a non ultimate is very concerning.

It’s what’s holding Ana back from being able to do other things.

More like “Dear God, I just want to shield my team, but the enemy Rein has an Ana which means he can walk into me holding m1, and even if I pin him with a charge his health will instantly go to max, and I’ll get unavoidably hard CC’d for 5 seconds.”

And you have a source for that? Or you just pulled it from somewhere - perhaps thin air? I’d ask tank players about it.

Zen has insane dps output, discord is an incredibly strong ability, no-aim healing, and an extremely strong team saving ultimate. Don’t point at Ana like she’s the only one in the game with a strong kit.

That’s by the books power creep, you need to nerf one hero, not buff 6.

Really interesting term. You mean solo queue, right? I’d say that’s the furthest thing from real OW. Maybe the focus should be on helping more players play real OW, so they can balance around that instead of the clown fiesta solo queue. Maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll hear something about that tomorrow.

Pick dive. If she isn’t dying then it’s either because they have a Brig or you’re not diving her together. If you’re upset that the Brig is keeping her alive that’s a Brig problem.

Ana was consider a throw pick until the day they gave her nano instant heal burst for ultimate chain combo. Something that was really needed for her. I still remember how the OWL broadcaster would make remarks of any team using Ana at the time.

The shift from not being able to heal through full health allies to being able to shoot through full health allies was controversial. It was a high level tech to pre-heal allies before they charge in to perform ultimate. The new change made it a lot friendly for the lower skill players. The compensations was more anmo.

To be fair, after the snap kick buff to Zenyatta, I find Ana to be the easiest support to kill in OW2. The second she waste her CD, she’s dead especially when she can’t headshot you.

I wasn’t going to respond until I got to this point. You seem to have, perhaps intentionally, forgotten to respond to my suggestions that you asked for:

Did you miss this? In fact, you only quoted the beginning of my literal paragraphs where I gave you what you asked for, and then only quoted the bit afterwards. Why? You responded to “why not reverse the nerfs”, but selectively ignored the “OR DO WHAT THEY’RE DOING WITH BAP” part.

Is it power creep when you nerf every support around a single support? I don’t think so.

At the cost of having no escape tools, so she can be forced to use those dramatic abilities early and not have them as fight closers. Ana is so easily flanked that you’d have to be a pro to consistantly land sleeps on flankers…

…and if you do, you don’t have those sleeps for the Tanks, so characters like Ball can play for free!

because there wasn’t a comp mode or stat tracking to see the 44% unmirrored win rate happen. If you took a 2.7 SR player and they rocked a 40%-ish win rate Ana into 2.2 SR town, they aren’t going to keep picking Ana.

Plus as others said, what meta does the community want? Giga-Hog in every game due to no Ana check? Support meta of Moira/Brig? Someone is always going to the #1 picked hero in a role and in most games.

Everything I’m talking about has nothing to do with OWL. I have zero interest in what goes on in the league.

There’s more than enough players having success on more than just Ana across multiple tiers.

At any rate, if some of you are losing your cool this much over OW, take a break. I’ll have fun on Zen, and Moira and enjoy my time. If it becomes tedious I’ll take a break. After all, it’s just a video game.

I don’t think her ult should heal, simple as that. Beyond the nade and the sleep dart, having the single most impactful heal in the game ON TOP OF immediately applying a 50% damage reduction (so you instantly save anyone from death and essentially can prevent them from dying for the next however long) IN ADDITION TO boosting the character’s attack is what gets me. On an auto target ability (sure, it’s an ult, but this is literally the easiest ult to use in the game).

A massive heal like that has absolutely no place in OW2 especially.

I frankly feel like all of her abilities do too much. It’s not enough that her ult is a big heal and damage boost but also reduces damage.

It’s not enough that her grenade BLOCKS ALL HEALING on the enemy team, it also boosts it on your team and does aoe damage and it heals.

It’s not enough that the sleep dart knocks the enemy out but even if it’s broken instantly it still takes 1.5 seconds for them to get up.

Even down to her primary fire her rifle both heals and does damage with no need to swap weapons or firing modes or anything.

I’d say it’s like she is a swiss army knife or using swiss army knives but those analogies don’t work because even compared to that she’s busted because instead of picking any one tool she’s using them all at once. It’s no wonder this hero never leaves the ranks of the top picked characters when some of her abilities could be an entire other support’s kit.

Most abilities it’s like “Pick one thing for this to do.” and for Ana they went “Nope. I pick them all.” It would be like if Bap’s IF didn’t just block damage but also healed and filled the ult meter of the person you saved or if DM didn’t just eat projectiles but also healed your team mates in it while you DM’ed them AND boosted their damage. People would call that insane.

I don’t hate the character, but I am bugged by the insinuation that she’s in every game because the kids all think she’s the coolest and not because her kit is more loaded than a dump truck. Also I hate anti-nade’s complete healing block. I feel like it has always sucked having to play against it as a tank or a support. I feel like it’s there primarily for tank busting, a thing that frankly feels awful in OW2 with only one tank.

The most balanced state of OW was mothmeta, everyone besides Mercy saw the best balance in the entire lifespan

Nade (and sleep)

they only get worse in OW2.

shes 1 hero with the kit of 2 units.
(look at everything her kit does)

you could LITERALLY turn anti nade’s skill into a functioning unit alone as its bloated to hades and back.
