Ana Brings Too Much Value

With how they’ve mentioned wanting to buff damage lethality globally, I highly doubt it.

Yet im a gold support who knows this. . .

Saying that im already making learning guides because its easier to have guides to teach players rather than 1 to 1’s all the time.
Everytime I do a LFG it involves me teaching players how to play so we can just not lose.

Well that’s the duality of the ability. The best Ana’s (see an assortment of ML7 clips) have the positioning skill to avoid needing to use nade on themselves at all, and instead co-ordinate a vast and effective team wipe.

Agreed, but it’s the potential that makes people agree that it’s strong. 'S like how Genji’s potential to one tap a squishy with any sort of damage boost on his primary caused the damage to be nerfed.

Agreed! xD The rest of her kit’s fine imo (perhaps Nanoboost is a tad overtuned for a support ult, but then again I’ve always seen Baptiste’s ult as ridiculously powerful)

It’s also a meta that reduces the need for Ana to use it on herself, as stated before. Even then, depending on your 2nd support, there are times where you simply don’t need to use it on yourself. I usually duo with an Ana if I’m on support, and generally I have the gamesense to turn and heal the friendly Ana. But again, there’s just too many scenarios to list off when talking about gameplay.

Find me a map with view of one spawn from the other.

I mean, I get your point here, but could at least one “nerf Ana” thread dispense with the hyperbole?

Ana is perfectly balanced. All the supports need to be brought up to her level

Not to mention punch and sleep can land at the same time, meaning the back of your head becomes mincemeat while he takes a gentle lil nap. Infuriatinggggg.

Brig bring too much value and too easy

don’t forget the insane hit box on the sleep dart

Well there is this…

I mean, if you want to get rid of Ana you make Winston and DVA meta, those two usually have an amazing way of ruining my day if I’m on Ana.

I rarely play a game where Ana outheals my zen. I honestly think shes useless and I cry a little everytime someone picks her 8(

Hack is actually tied with Sleep (both 5 seconds, not sure if that includes the wake-up animation).

That she has no mobility, and no self sustain outside antinade.

Yes, anti is incredibly powerful when it lands a big offensive purple splash, but it’s also one of the easiest abilities in game to bait out.

This is why i really called for the Anti-Nade nerfs so she can’t completely disable healing with just flicking it over a shield, but if they would’ve kept the Moira changes but just make the Fade duration happen when she Fades, then just make it a cleanser ability for teammates, then i would’ve said Ana didn’t need nerfs, we really need a Support hero that can cleanse after-effects, and seeing as they ended new heroes in OW1 with Echo, i don’t see anybody else joining the roster.

Resurrect is insane

Immortality is insane

Discord is insane

Speed boost is insane

Armor Over heal is insane

This is exactly why the game is the way it is today. Everyone of them have been nerfed or outright removed, and every one of those hero’s has become trash tier because of it.

How about we accept the fact that supports all have something unique they bring to the table, and stop trying to nerf it out of them making them nothing but heal bots in the end.

I don’t know what you mean. Ana heals 3000000 HP/ sec and can wall climb. What else do you want from a support

From a GM mercy main this is not true, ive pressed E and Shift on Ana and won majority of my team fights.

I love that so many people watch the pros landing these game winning anti nades and act like that happens on a regular basis in regular comp.

She has no mobility while the other supports do (transcendence gives Zen a speed boost, so it TECHNICALLY counts). All her abilities (minus ult) require aim to get value (more aim than the other supports at the very least). Her ultimate does not benefit her directly whatsoever while the other supports benefit from their own ults in some way and it highly depends on who she hits and what they do with it, so while it is very powerful if used correctly, but if used incorrectly and it can be completely wasted. Her only form of self-healing is the one cool down ability the forums community constantly complains about while many of the other supports have more reliable ways of self-healing. Other than her ult, her kit is blocked easily by shields and DM/KG. Anti-Nade is very powerful and while yes it doesn’t have enough counter play, we just have to wait for the devs to release a support hero that has a cleansing ability. I think a cleansing ability on a new support hero will be enough to impact Ana’s pick rate and kit value (and maybe even replace Ana as the must-pick support hero). If a support hero with a cleansing ability is not enough to tone down Anti-Nade and the rest of Ana’s kit, then the devs can look into nerfing her even more. I think for now, we just have to wait for OW2.

Considering all the other supports almost don’t have to do anything to keep up their heals, it’s still something
