Has anyone else experienced this? There was a literal AI bot in my game, like walking into walls for 30 seconds straight and walking past the enemy team. They ended the 1st round with, and im not even joking, 90 damage. I’m begging for someone to actually watch this and spectate graybear (and ignore my gameplay X_X) because i have never ever seen anything like this??? ZY6CXG

Yes, it has happened to me twice, which is really little if we take into consideration the number of years I have been playing, as I understand they are bots that are used to farm games and experience, usually they are accounts intended for sale.

Thats crazy i’ve never ever heard of this before, me and my team were so shocked. I kind of wish theyd up the competitive requirements because i’ve been getting soooo many new accounts in comp lately and its definitely effecting the experience.
bots and throwers typically use those accounts to derank and either boost players to a high elo (likely cheating also) or to sell for smurfs
best you can do is report the account to waste their time

There have been bots in games occasionally since OW1, I remember seeing videos of Mercy bots that just maintain a set distance behind their DPS back in like 2018. I think I once saw one that was like 5 of them together that all moved in formation. It was kinda cool looking tbh.
General consensus is that it’s account sellers, who often run several game clients at a time, tanking the accounts rank to sell to streamers for bronze to GM “challenges”, or to boosters so they can queue with their client, or grinding quickplay games for them to be able to access comp earlier.
F2P with no real checks beyond an email address probably making it way worse.

Well the explanation of Wunder and Squashpup is more complete, it is something that has been happening for a while, I think the best advice you can take was given to you by Wunder, simply report them OP.
