For several seasons in a row, it was nothing but flankers and dive tanks. The only supports that could survive were lucio and mercy, the ones that had the mobility to escape. We got Moira, and later Brigitte because healers had to peel for themselves. Not only that, but these are actually fun healers to play and you feel like you’re doing more than hiding and holding m1. I feel with a few tweaks, Brigitte will be a lot like doomfist. Only annoying because she’s new.
I am glad that we finally have a Off-Tank Off-Support hero, but what I have an issue with is her Shied HP.
I enjoy the hell out of her. Yeah, she can be a pain to face off with but it’s a case of her being like every other new hero that had been introduced since the game went live. You have to learn how to counter her.
I would be feeling better if I knew that the amount of time and effort she requires to learn her kit to counter me equals to the amount of effort I give in order to counter her.
So far, it feels incredibly low as Brigitte.
i enjoy playing her too…
play against it? not so much
I like her, too, but I wish Sombra’s hack actually affected her passive
and I also wish Hog could walk up to her and shoot her in the face like he can with Rein.
Yes.
You are the only one who enjoys Brigitte’s addition into the game.
All other players are massively annoyed that the game is being dominated by a character you can pick up and master within an hour, while characters who take dozen’s of hours to get decent at get shunted to the side.
It is known.
Nope, I enjoy her as well.
I don’t mind playing against her either.
She’s my new favorite support, so yeah, I really enjoy playing as her.
No he or she is not. I appreciate her addition into the game, finally a support who can stand up to a Genji and doesn’t have to give up the moment he announces his ultimate. No one questions how essential Soldier, Genji or Tracer were for ages now and except for Tracer no one of them was hard, they are extremely forgiving and lack a lot of risk in their gameplay. Just compare their ultimates to a Pharah who has to stand still in the air with rockets who are flying in a random fashion. Now we get a new character who is absolutely bad at anything except short range and just because the Dive Meta is pretty much done some people cry foul. No it’s not foul, it’s great. It brings a risk into the game that wasn’t there before. And yet the character is absolutely fair, the shield has good health yes but it is tiny af, it doesn’t help against AOE and a lot of characters can do a lot against her as a whole. Thing is, some of these characters weren’t meta before like Sombra or even Ana who was shunned for some time. And that’s also why I like playing against her, she doesn’t feel overpowered at all, except for Tracer there is no unfair OHK. She can’t jump around, climb walls, can’t woosh through the air, hitting everything and everyone and team kill anyone. She is very stationary and slow and pretty much bound to the two dimensional space.
Is she relatively easy to master? Yes. But so are most other heroes in the game.
So how come zenyatta has so high winrate if he so weak to dive? He is a part of dive
And Ana is even doing worse now than before
Spaces, man, spaces.
I can’t read all of that wall of text like that.
If you think that is a wall of text, you aren’t very experienced with forums.
I don’t understand how someone has fun winning fights being the other player can’t even move or fight back. Same for crippling another heroes’ over all damage output to the point they once again, just can’t even fight the fight in the first place.
Even her ULT is a lame zero ULT econ, not in the fight, no nothing move. Where is the thrill? The anticipation of using it at just the right time to have big impact? It’s just not there. You stand around after a fight is over handing out armor like welfare cheese. Wow, great ULT play.
You don’t even get to hit a neat shot or do anything but wave your arm around while playing…
At least Reinhardt has some tank vs tank mind games. An ULT that has pressure to use correctly being it can win or lose you any team fight or even the entire game. Long range fire strike hits are “Yeah I hit that!” etc… That’s how you make a melee hero fun.
I really don’t get why Brigitte doesn’t have more or a Rein like twist but with a stun/armor etc vibe.
No, you’re not.
I’m a support main who flexes to every role other than flanker/snipers, and I’ve been just riveted to know that we have a strong counter against the flanks.
People are whining because; like with most new additions to the game, they refuse to adapt to change and deal with it until the next hero, which could be a counter comes out.
I don’t mind Brigitte much, yes she’s annoying, but she is being nerfed a little soon and I guess some players need to learn how to counter her more effectively.
I was playing Reinhardt both on attack and defense on Hanamura the other day, on defense we held the first point despite the attacking team having Brigitte. I didn’t find her to be a problem, I just threw a fire strike and swung my hammer at the right moments. I was playing against Mercy, Brigitte, Hanzo, Junkrat, Roadhog and Orisa if I recall correctly.
You’re not going to master any hero in only an hour. You may have the basics down, might have a few good tactics figured out, but to say you can master her in an hour is so much hyperbole it isn’t even funny.
Ok, if not “Master” then “Get good enough to use her effectively.”
There’s a sea of difference between a good Mccree or Genji and a Meh one.
There is much less of a difference between a 2 hour Brigitte and a 20 hour one.
She is an off-tank, but she lives in support which has the most diversity, and people cannot stop labeling her as “support ie. easy target” and are deeply offended that she can defend herself and actually go on the offense. How dare a lowly support even consider attacking a group! I wish now she had simply been introduced as a defense character, half the whining would have never happened. And for pete’s sake, the number of non-tanks whining over getting stunned and killed… and yet I watch Hanzos, Genjis and so on constantly run UP to Brig, get their butt handed to them… respawn… and repeat and ENTIRE friggin’ match… I’m like what is wrong with you? Attack her when she is either engaged or from a flank…
Same thing in Team Deathmatch. Brigitte can do really good but not just on her own. She may survive some time but just being alive does nothing and combined with Widow and Genji as example, you have situations where you simply can’t help at all. She simply isn’t mobile enough (which is good btw., she’s great how she is). She is good in close combat, she can help a lot there but elsewhere all she may do is… I don’t know, fighting a Roadhog to eternity.
