But did hog actually have to stop and stand still while healing in 2020??? I could have sworn he could move and heal back then

There was a point in time where he stood completely still to self heal.
(Edited because I looked into it, should have done that before commenting).
They made it so he can move and heal in August 2017. So I think they messed up this 2020 Classic.
He didn’t.
Also Soldier 76 didn’t have spread anymore.
And Reinhardt is not supposed to have steadfast.
Basically, the Overwatch 2 engine and rules bungled things up.

Well, if you’re an Overwatch 1 fan, you probably are.
But Roadhog was able to move while healing.
It was apparently the 19 August 2017 patch that changed it.
Classic is kind of a joke. Not to be rude, but if they cannot replicate it… Do not waste my time.

I dont think its the engine’s fault, just that reimplementing the mechanics to an older state of the game comes with inaccuracies that the devs missed. Some inaccuracies are bigger than others – I think hog is an example of a pretty egregious one.
