Not exactly. The game itself tries to put you one match at attack and another on defense. But due folks leaving matches, queues and mmr all over the place the system can’t do that often.
So, it tries to put you on maps at the side that could give you better initial winning odds that lean towards 50%. All maps have a variance between winning and losing odds, often defense having higher ones due those modes on the last point defenders having less time to reach the objective/payload, also due it’s map layout. Which is why push and control maps are good maps for them due being symmetric on planning, not having any sort of deviation.
Assault, hybrid and escort had/had deviations. In the past the outliers were horizon(for attackers 54%ish) and eichenwalde(for defenders 53%ish) while the rest were about 49ish to attack and 50ish for defense. With some few exceptions with 50,20 on attack and 49,80 on defense.
At 2017, roughly 51% wins were on defense.
Hanamura: Attack 49.79%, Defense 50.21%

Temple of Anubis: Attack 49.92%, Defense 50.08%

Considering that we only have right now, without updated data:
Eichenwalde: Attack 46.13%, Defense 53.87%

Route 66: Attack: 49.94%, Defense 50.06%
Watchpoint: Gibraltar: Attack 50.13%, Defense 49.87%
If the value somewhat still holds true, although the maps got more cover and stuff like that. We don’t know the current value.
On perfect conditions folks would play against the same folks alternating between attack and defense on each map. I had some matches like that in the past, but if someone leaves the queue, match or had their mmr changed the chain gets interrupted. In the past I had about 8 matches in a row against and with same folks, alternating between attack, defense on assault, hybrid and escort while having some control maps in the middle of it. The winning odds on those matches were actually similar. Team were well balanced also and the matchmaker tried to mix and match the players on that loop. After 8 matches the chain was broken. Similarly happened on about 3-4 matches somewhat frequently for me in the past also. Always alternating between attack/defense on hybrid/escort/assault and followed by another one or control.
