When in a game with fullscreen mode, Overwatch will switch windows within 2 seconds and makes it unable to actually play

Typically when this happens another program is taking focus from the game. I might suggest disabling background applications to resolve the issue.

Hi, not sure it’s the exact same thing or if it’s solved by the solution above, but I switched the game from Windowed to Fullscreen to gain FPS and ever since I did that, almost every time I alt + tab to check on a browser chat program (the browser is Chrome) the game freezes completely.
I can’t even click on Overwatch to open the fullscreen, it forces me back out. I can’t close Overwatch unless I force it to shut down with Task Manager.
Just a few minutes ago I had to sign out of my windows session entirely because I had no other program open other than Overwatch, and this time it wouldn’t let me out of the game’s fullscreen, so I couldn’t access the Desktop.
I have cleared the Blizzard cache, I used Scan and Repair, my drivers don’t need updating, and like I pointed out, the last time this happened I didn’t have other programs open. I really don’t want to go back to Windowed mode because I went from 40FPS to 60FPS…
I had this problem, I fixed it by setting my monitor refresh rate in Windows to match what overwatch was using.
For my Overwatch was using 144 Hz,
but in windows: Display settings -> Advanced Display settings -> Display adapter properties -> Monitor tab. This setting was set to 60.
Once this was set my alt-tabing and windowed to full screen issues went away.
