Smurfs and alt account users are not really making good experience for anyone else as they are making many games unbalanced. I have several alt accounts so i am one of them and i admit it. I often used new accounts to learn heroes i didnt play before, i used several of them but recently with role q i started using my new main acc and only one alt account.
Yesterday after another bad experience from my high silver account i realized that i am just wasting my time there. Not only its making me worse often, but i feel that i am often influencing game results because i am more skilled on certain heroes than normal player in that rank. And its not a good thing as its not fair to others.
Sometimes i even tilt or get toxic because i expect certain level of play from others so thats another down side of playing on lower ranked alt account.
So yeah, from reasons above and most importantly because i want to be better player for OW community, i am going to use only 1 account. I will not touch any if my alt accounts anymore.
I want to talk about another topic too and its toxicity and how to fight it. As i started to play more dps again i started to notice that people trashtalk dps when team is having problems vs enemy team. It was like that even in past but i feel its much worse now and i dont know why. I often do my job, even more than that when i was on lower ranked alt and i was being trashtalked anyway.
I want to be in voice chat but i dont want to be toxic. Its so hard sometimes, i mean when someone is talking bad about me i feel like i should defend myself and i attack the person attacking me back. Or is better to be quiet and completely ignore the person? Sometimes its not a good choice too as if i dont say anything, others often join the person who is talking badly about me as its comforting to have someone else to blame and have scapegoat. So idk.
So If anyone has some tips how to react in situations where others blame you, please share it

If you wonder why i wrote this, its probably because i am bored in job. If you dont care, fine. I just wanted to share my thoughts. And maybe to make few people happy that they have one less alt acc user to worry about.
yeah alt accounts increase toxicity, but they provide a good way to learn new characters, so plenty of people use them. I have 6 accounts, but since role queue came out, I don’t really need them and just use 3, 2 for playing, and 1 for playing with friends that are uncarryable
The game SR system is/should be designed so that you should climb out of that rank very easily if you are better. So dont worry about feeling to good for your level.
I am playing in gold on this account since first season. And when i play certain heroes i get most of the times 3 golds and a card like 60% of damage/kills done or 70% of time on fire etc… If i am really to good for this rank i would climb out of it, just like my other account. So i am, at least on this account, not skilled enough yet. So i am not smurfing.
yeah i often have this too, not that i got toxic, just mad. I just report them.
Since they are the same rank they should have about the same technical skill and game sence as i have. If they are clearly a lot worse is probably because they are throwing/soft throwing or got boosted. So just report them.
(according to lots of people in this forum, there is nothing wrong with the current SR system. So trust it and believe that everyone in your team is of your skill level and you have the rank belonging to your skill level)
Yes ignore and mute them as fast as possible. If possible even before they get toxic. You often can filter out some people before the game starts, in spawn. Just mute the immature people who are fooling around when you still in spawn(thinking they are funny). Yes this means you often end up the only one talking in voice, or at least you can hear (since you muted everyone who was talking).
Don’t give them a chance to blame you, promptly disable all comms AS SOON AS YOU ENTER GAME by pressing ‘P’
Don’t get baited into something stupid, someone will say some ish about you and as soon as you respond, REPORTED!! You’ll get banned but they won’t, it’s retarded.

I want to use coms, i was curious if anyone have some good lines how to make these people who like to blame to be quiet, I use muting as last option usualy. It really wont stop them to talk to rest of the team and show you in a bad way. I want to defend myself I am just looking for a smart way how to do it without being way too agressive.
