I remember Bastion rework, Sombra rework, 5v5, removal of two capture points… etc…
But so far I have not seen anything that way on ExC so far…
So slowly starting to think it’s just talk.
Or they are just saving it for OW2…
Which brings up more concerns for OW1.
Because I am suspecting Outer World 2 is gonna come out first at this point… and it was just announced.
Just because of how much they seem to be piling on to OW2 and not OW1.
Like Weather and New Default Skins.
To the point I might forget OW exist 2 years from now.
If devs stall big changes that long.

They’ve sad many of the changes can’t be on the current OW engine so we will only seeing them when we get the new engine.

I thought they made it rather clear that it was for this reason?..

Seems like they forgot OW exists now.

This. The surprise of the century is that we are getting crossplay soon. They really caught me off guard with that one.
That makes me worried about OW1 even more in the future.
Like how pointless is OW1 gonna become.
It’s going to cease to exist entirely. OW2’s not a sequel, it’s a replacement.
Remember that time at E3 the Overwatch 2 presentation was a 3D render of a new model for an existing character?
I wonder if blizzard is self aware enough to realize how pathetic that is.
And that was still more impressive than most of this e3, to be perfectly honest. I am about as cynical as it gets regarding this game, but the only game that even got a proper presentation was Guardians of the Galaxy. Real talk.
Nintendo showed some good stuff. Lot of interesting indie games in the vein of pokemon snap were shown. I don’t really play AAA titles so that was really interesting to me.
I don’t really care for dogs but games in this vein are my jam.
OW1 and OW2 are the same engine
given they’re “not working on OW1”: this is the only explanation for the new bugs that keep appearing (new audio effects, random bot behaviour changes, falling through the floor bugs, random nameplate changes, etc)
Yes; I believe it’s more akin to engine updates.
What really grinds my gears is that all of the stuff shown could have easily be done in OW1.

Specially since they said how easily it was to do stuff like Fools ExC…
Geoff said it only took three days if I recall. Or a few hours….
Memory getting fuzz

Huhmm… You may be on to something here.
Blizzard teasing or giving info on OW2 doesn’t meant they will immediately release all those changes on the experimental mode.
I totally get why Blizzard doesn’t like mentioning things they are working on , because once people get any little info they get uncontrollably impatient and demand it as fast as possible.
Im pretty sure people wont be able to try anything from OW2 till there is a beta available.
Likely the beta if there is any… will be a late next year thing.
They never indicated any of these would be on an ExC.

They explicitly stated these changes were for OW2. why did you think they were going to be for OW1?
They are not the same engine. When OW2 comes out, the PvP portion of OW1 will be updated to include that new engine, but the one it uses now is definitely not the same.
