Alpha orisa’s behavioral change?

So in the alpha clips I’ve seen so far a decent amount of hero’s have gotten new interactions or lines that play while attacking and seem generally normal, but a lot of the clips I’ve seen with Orisa she almost seems a bit out of character. I noticed her attitude and temper seems a lot more aggressive and angry then before. Could this have been simply a slip up just so she has more different lines or could this be intentional and have some upcoming lore to add to it to somewhat alter her behavior? I know bastion had an in lore explanation with his new redesign and rework and seeing how drastically orisa has been reworked (and how she was the first hero we’ve gotten So far announcement wise to not show her redesign with her rework) could this all also be applied to orisa?

She’s young, we all go through that emo phase.

Yeah, she sounds really serious and even agressive in some of her lines. It’s a big departure from what we are used to. It doesn’t match her personality if you put it next to her emotes and sprays.

I remember when she was released and the devs said that she was a mix of baymax and robocop. The first example influence is clear, but the second made me wonder if they understood what the movie was about. Now, these new voice lines makes me wonder if they want to introduce more of this second element to her personality. If that’s their intention, I’ll have to disagree with this direction. It simply doesn’t fit with what they already have established.

Here are some of the voice lines that I heard in videos:

“That is enough from you!” (Elimination)
“I warned you!” (Elimination)
“Not on my watch.” (Elimination)
“Wanted, dead or alive.” (Eliminating Cassidy)
“I’ll not yield.” (Activating Fortify)
“Enduring!” (Activating Fortify)
“Meet your fate!” (Ultimate)
or “Reach your fate!”, I’m not sure, sounds a bit weird because of the distortion.
Edit:
“Answer for what you’ve done!” (Ultimate from the enemy side, I think)

i have to assume something happens to her or something in the story of OW2 and maybe her redesign will be more rugged looking

I was just thinking about this. She sounds angry.

Maybe something happened with Efi? If my memory isn’t failing me, she was talking about her in past tense when I got into a game with Sorjourn. The interaction between Orisa and her.

Can someone post some clip about these interactions, please? xP

She speaks in past tense because Efi watched the cartoons with Orisa in the past. I don’t think anything bad has happened to Efi.

yes, the novel also talks about “old” overwatch cartoons. even the child Timmy (OW’s first cinematic) knew these heroes as if he were talking about a super hero cartoon.

We speculate that there was a lot of public relations with Tracer’s claim to OW after the King’s Row riot (see London Calling), with tons of advertising images showing heroes like Mercy, Sojourn or Genji. this allows us to speculate that Overwatch wanted to relaunch its public image through new icons after the scandals in Venice. let’s take into consideration that this operation had its peak after the capture of Doomfist in Singapore, and that the closure of Overwatch is hypothesized 5 years ago from the present. Efi is now 11 years old, almost twelve according to the novel, so hypothetically in OW2 she has already completed them … efi would have seen the OW cartoons at about 6-7 years old. reasonable that they owe them to the past tense because they no longer transmit them after the team closes.

anyway, I found the dialogue we are talking about:
