Doom one tricks will likely just move onto 6v6 open queue anyway if that happens. You feel like you’re throwing less on 6v6 open queue anyway as doomfist. Don’t have to face potential bans + feeling less like a throw pick = kill two birds with one stone.

6v6 open queue might end up becoming even more popular depending on how well the ban system is received in 5v5 role queue. It’ll be interesting to see what happens…

NGL I chuckle at most of these threads for the same reason.
Will he be banned? Sure. Will he banned every game? Not really. People will always have other heroes they want banned instead.
The hero you want banned, isn’t necessarily always to always be the hero everyone else wants banned.

Isn’t the ban system being put in place for 6v6 OQ tank cap competitive as well?
Look at all the different hero names being thrown around in the forums after all lol

I’m not sure. I just did a quick seach, it seems like it “sounds” like it’s also coming to 6v6 open queue but it isn’t confirmed. They just say that it’s coming to “competitive modes” and didn’t strictly say “role queue competitive”.
So it’s possible and likely to also come out for 6v6 open queue. If it does though, I’m kind of excited, because I think the ban system will suit 6v6 open queue even better IMO.
I’m just unsure about the perk system yet for 6v6 and whether we need it or not. I feel like the perks are only necessary for 5v5.

This will be true though. The playerbase is far too incompetent to figure out what bans should be happening. If you play Mahvel, you will see some twisted nonsense that makes you lose faith in humanity. It is unfortunate that the government was successful in creating such an inept populace that they actually control us like sheep now. Cyberpunk was supposed to be a warning about the impending dystopian nightmare, it was not supposed to be a hashtag relationship goal. I know hero bans have nothing to do with the current state of affairs, my point is just that the average person is agonizingly stupid. Ahem, sorry for being a bit too real there.

Honestly I liked marvel rivals for this reason.
When you select the hero you want, it’s given a % chance based on what the team has voted for.
If half the team vote for 1 hero, but the other half vote for another, there’s a 50/50 chance either one will be picked.
Likewise if 5 of the 6 all pick 1 hero, but that 6th player picks a different hero, there’s still a chance, albeit a slim one, that their choice is picked.
It kinda results in a dynamic constant change in picks. Like sure, the common picks are going to be banned the most, but if you want to ban something else becuase you don’t like it - you’ll still have a chance of seeing it banned.

i mean i dont personally care what ends up happening as i wont be participating in game modes with bans…
but i suspect a lot of people who want specific heroes banned are going to be disappointed

oh i dont think you have to worry about sombra…her, ana, mauga, widow will probably garner enough attention most of the time
edit - i wouldve said sojourn but she was basically in every match this weekend (i know its owcs but still…youd think if she was that good theyd want to get rid of her)
