And yet, I’ve seen maybe 1 or 2 out of all of them that suggest a compensating buff. What most people don’t realize is Doomfist is statistically balanced with pick rates; any nerf could possibly trash him back to F-tier.
Whenever someone says Doom needs a nerf, I’m open to negotiations, but I hate it when everyone wants to straight nerf him with no compensating buff whatsoever. How about his ult? Buggy slam? Weak primary?
Because people dont want doom viable. Simple as that. Many of the nerf threads are just from people who dont like him, and dont want him to be viable in general.
I also notice quite a few of them are from widow mains, so the bias can already be there. But wanting a hero to be intentionally F-tier just because you don’t like them is one of the weakest balance suggestions
As i said, its not coming from a place of balance. Its coming from a place of contempt.
They dont care if its not viable, or a weak balance suggestion. They just want him to be weak.
I never understood why people complain about him so much.
Well, that’s not true, I actually do understand why - because he has abilities that make it seem like he gets “easy kills.” And he most certainly does get very lucky Rocket Punches sometimes, and you feel gimped if you’re on the receiving end of that.
However, I’ve played him enough to realize that he’s not easy and … I can’t kill anything. XD I’m even terrible with him in vs. AI. lol So if people can master his combos enough to consistantly kill me, then I probably just simply got outplayed.
The only heroes I really hate him on are Ana, Zen, Reinhardt, and Baptiste, though. So I wonder if the majority of people complaining about him are people who only play those heroes.

Actually a lot of them are DPS players, and, as OP indicated, Widowmaker mains
Huh, weird. I don’t find him that annoying, and I mostly play DPS.
/shrug. Then again, I play at a low elo so most Doomfists down here aren’t that much of a threat. I guess that’s it.
Just to clarify, I wasn’t trying to take a pot shot at support mains btw. I know lots of people do that. XP

The problem here though is that there isn’t much counterplay against doomfist if your on the receiving end of these combos. Sure you can maybe bait one ability (depending on the hero you’re playing) but then he will crush you with the others.
Lol I haven’t seen many Sombra mains complaining about Widowmaker, but yeah… the other two, does seem like a air amount of that going around

It wouldn’t be so bad if this game had some form of CC mitigation/diminishing returns.
I am not even sure what they want nerfed because so few people actually suggest anything. So I would not expect them to start listing out specific compensation buffs. Lul.
Kinda glad that way, some of the nerfs some people suggest are outright absurd. Like remove the second jump on punch. Or remove the targeting on slam
This is true lol, though I have seen a number of people suggesting nerfs to his shield gen or health overall
Some folks suggest removing the OHKO from RP
And… that’s about the extent of actual, tangible nerf suggestions that I’ve seen
Oh and how can I forget, the dudes who want him to be 150 HP because “hEs HaRdeR to HiT tHaN tRacEr”
