All temporary shields shouldn’t feed ultimate charge

Yeah, I’m not sure why this overshield not giving ult charge mechanic isn’t spread to the other heroes that have overshield.

It also gives beat a reason to exist over trance. Trance actually gives the enemies a huge leg up on ult economy if you’re not using it to counter an ult and you don’t make something of it. Beat currently does the same thing but doesn’t reliably counter many ults, so it’s just strictly worse.

Making beat the ult that you use in otherwise ult neutral fights that doesn’t give the enemy automatic +50% to their ults would go a long way to making it more viable.

It’s a mechanic the devs are considering applying to Lucio and Doomfist as well. If Hammond’s shields gave Ult charge, he’d be an Ult battery and nothing more, that’s why this is still on PTr

I am all for making it consistent across the board. As in, making it so ALL dark blue shields do NOT give ult charge.

No, he shouldn’t. His shields not giving ult charge prevents him from becoming an incredible feeder, and actually encourages him to go for big, 6 man shields.

It also rewards Wrecking Ball players who can get the most value out of their shields.
