Didnt even know that it was possible to have aimbot on console but here it is. Just blatant cheaters everywhere since the start of last season. Saw the same aimboter a week later. So clearly they dont ban anything to do with cheats.
Are you sure you weren’t just seeing someone using XIM with aim assist? Still cheating but thats not an aimbot.
Consoles cannot run third party code so hacks like aimbots and wallhacks are essentially nonexistent there. Cheating is almost entirely controller input spoofing and lag switches.

What i saw was genuine aimbot. Like he would snap on with 100 percent accuracy and headshot if multiple people would peek the guy would completely bug out and start trying to track everyone. It was so weird.
And you werent in a crossplay lobby or anything (i.e. it wasn’t a PC player?)
Do you have a replay code? I’d be interested to see that.
Not sure that is the case about consoles not being able to run code because Marvels certainly has aimbotters, I’ve played overwatch for a couple years and never noticed one.
If it’s not console running code in today’s age it might be some sort of external AI set up with a camera and aimbotting based on what it sees.
This I could see as more likely. While I’m less familiar with playstation, I do actually have some familiarity with xbox and in simple terms, running cheats on the device is effectively impossible. However, external measures are fair game, so to speak, which is why things like XIM are not only common, but quite hard to detect.

Cheaters are killing the fun of the game forsure. This is a shooting game have fun and stop cheating! Practice rather than cheating I always say, it’s only a game why cheat? and what is the point of cheating? If you lose you lose if you win you win that simple.
In the end I blame BLOZZARD for allowing this bull!
Yeah it is likely so that kind of set up I mention will be possible but I’d imagine it would still be rather expensive for anyone to set up so would be pretty rare but if external aimbot becomes common games are cooked because how will they ever be sure they are cheating.

It may not be super practical now, but its only a matter of time before it becomes easier and cheaper. It’s definitely something to be cautious about.
