Aimbot cheater and imbalanced match making. This is unfair

I don’t understand why the matchmaking is unbalanced.
Nor do I understand how aimbot hackers are still prevalent in the game!

Do I need to start uploading video matches to get the point across and calling out this bullshtry?

Provide a replay code then.

The last two times there was a hacker in my games it was supposed to be me and the people calling me out were silver while I’m GM so I have a hard time believing people when they say somebody is cheating now when it’s most likely just low ranked players that don’t know better.

The Kiriko’s aim is waaaay too good to be true and IF they are a higher rank like GM, then aren’t they, in one form or another, cheating by smurfing? Also, their entire team outmatched ours so balancing is also the concern.

was watching that replay and that kiriko wasnt cheating, she played very smart backing up her ana though

i play tracer a lot as well and yea some kiriko’s are a hard matchup. they somewhat have an advantage since teleport, self immune ability (save) and very good burst with a pretty big hitbox since the season 9 changes

you did well trying but yea, your team kinda didnt do anything when you had both heals occupied as well heh

no hacking in that game tho

i dont know about smurfing :man_shrugging: if quickplay of course its get teams as fast as possible but i kinda doubt that was a masters+ kiriko

Thank you for your analysis on the match. I thought I was being zippy enough to evade Kiriko’s projectiles, but she seems to adjust very quickly which made me assume the cheating/aimbot.

Our team KDAs were in the single digits while their team were hitting double digits, so frustration kicked in and led me to the forums to complain.

because humans play the game. Can’t balance anywhere near perfect because we humans are imperfect.

I’ve only encountered two cheaters in my time on Overwatch and what they both had in common was that they were Endorsement 1 or 2, would randomly look through walls directly at stationary players several rooms away as well as rapidly tab target and fire at players even if there was a wall between them.

One thing with the whole cheaters ordeal is. You can have people say and look at a replay code and be like “yup thats a cheater” and others are like “never seen a cheater”.

Its all subjective to knowing how cheats work and if someone has cheated before.

In the past, I use to be a habitual cheater in online games via steam. I one day figured out in life that cheating made games boring and found nothing satisfying about gaming, using cheats. I wiped my computer clean with a fresh OS install and never went back to that life.

Now, that said. Does Overwatch have a lot of cheaters. YUP.

I recognize many cheats I use to use back in 2007 and 2006 for online gaming and as much as people say that “cheats don’t exist” here in Overwatch. Quite the opposite.

The reason why people are blind to this notion is because they dont know what they are looking for.

Replay cams tell alot about what and whom is cheating.

VS what people expect what a “cheat” is. Which is something that snaps to heads, and people looking through walls.

But im not talking about cheats like that. Nope, im talking about the aim assistance CHEATS that help players stay on target and help them play video games. I see a ton of that here. And since I use to use cheats like that in games. Its pretty obvious how many people are using them.

If we look at games like “THE FINALS” its got a 77% cheater rate in it. The finals, just lets it slide. because they are desperate for players. So most people have to play that game against super strong players, that are otherwise cheating.

And yes, if something is helping or aiding someone in aiming. IT IS CHEATING.

So yeah, its not much different here. I’d say at least every other match 3 people are using some form of a cheat. Even if it is not an aimbot or wall hax.

The big “tell” is how mechanically nuanced a cheat is compared to natural human aim, and typically “aim style” is the give away because human nature plays video games in unique specific patterns, while a cheater has less movement expression in their aiming.

now, with that in mind. And bare in mind this, that when you see people with nearly the same aim styles that are nearly identical in movement each time you watch a replay of their engagement, its a pretty subtle give-away. Thats a cheater.

And when you see the same “aim style” in other matches against that one person you suspect as a cheater. Its also very obvious that is not legit gaming.

If you’re GM you understand that a cheat you can see in a replay is an absolutely garbage quality cheat

What? No they don’t

Any halfway decent cheat is almost imperceptible to detect in a replay when used correctly.

They do if you know what you are looking for yes.

When people identify cheats, they are not saying “They installed ModX45 of this dude” but they identify “Something is doing the aim here and there”.

Things like WH are more complicated but during the span of an entire match, you can see who regularly “checks” walls for no reason and “magically” adjusts position with ZERO possible info. Thats quite the tell.

PS: No one is denying cheaters exists or dudes that are REALLY good at masking their cheats but those are definitely the minority.

Anyone using wall hacks who knows what they’re doing is not turning on the outline through the wall. They only do it on the corner and make it look like a normal wall peek. You practice the muscle memory for this in Valorant or CS or already have that skill from those

No one walling who’s actually making an impact is looking at outlines through walls. The people doing that are the people with the garbage toggle hacks.

aimbotters are more present these days and its rather sad]

Pretending all cheaters are pro-hackers is like saying every Widowmaker is Masters+
It just doesn’t happen buddy.

Again:

Don’t act like I didn’t cover this before.

Replays are not 100% representative of what happened in the real time game.

Dont listen to cheater defenders. That kiriko is 100% sus. Provide codes if you like, but as game is crowded with cheaters, forums are crowded with them as well.

Thank you for your insight. I understand good aim but there are flaws with all our aims unless you’re a high levelled player, but then there are too many high levelled players in the metal ranks which seems so suspicious that I believe they are using some kind of hack.

Definitely sus. I rewatched the replay and believe they are using some sort of aim assist. Plus I noticed that they were happy to chase me down and give up healing their allies but wouldn’t focus on other enemies during a fight.

She didnt use her ultimate until nearly 7 minutes in.

No one says that.
What is going on with this kind of mass-delusion?

Their aim is absolutely nothing to write home about to suggest hacking.
They also play very passively. They’re nowhere near a gm smurf either.

They put some pressure on you on tracer, that’s about the only thing they do whole match. They just healbot most of the game as expected from ~gold player.

a gm kiriko would have decimated that lobby.
My suggestion is to not suppose people who outplay you in a match are hacking, instead learn why you got outplayed.
