Aim lab doesn’t provide you flow state, which is sync between your left and right hemispheres of brain, and right and left hand. Aim lab is good for tac shooters, where movement is not that important. The same reason is why it doesn’t work for overwatch that much.
Speak for yourself man, I get into a flow state every time I warm up before OW. And yes, I play it for around 15-20 mins each day before I get into OW and the difference is more than noticeable… it’s impactful to both my gameplay and my team.
Thats just not true. There are so many scenarios that include strafing while shooting. There are som insanely hard scenarios that make overwatch 2 bots look like nothing
Flow state in 15-20 mins? Some pros would be jealous for that.
Yep. I think it’s different for everyone, and probably the most important thing is that you’re doing something you’re engaged with that exercises your brain in the right way. If you enjoy aim training(and it is fun), then it’s going to help. You won’t get game sense out of it, but that’s not what we’re here for. I know there are a few people on the forums who are Diamond and whatever is above that ranked on Voltaic benchmarks, and obviously they’re going to have insane control.
I definitely got something out of mine, but it is a time investment, and obviously you can get better in-game etc. I feel like the ‘shortcut to aimbotting’ or whatever is not a great tagline. You’re still putting in work.
You jest, but all I can say to that sentiment is don’t knock it til you try it. And if you have tried and don’t think it works for you… that is again why I say speak for yourself.
Different people learn in different ways, and I endorse this game to anyone who is willing to put in the time.
Did you bother to record any type of proof of your so called magically transforming hitboxes?
The issue is that most people dont know how to aim train. If people see aim labs the first thing that everyone thinks about is gridshot… which is useless. Proper aim training helps a lot. There can be a difference between aim training
-in general
-for benchmakrs
-for the game itself
I enjoy benchmarking atm and playing ow. Im not training for overwatch atm, which isnt the most efficient way but thats what i am willing to do once im got my benchmakrs up But my aim improoved like immensly. But you need to be patient
Exactly… I have a few friends in GM who remind me of this all time, saying “it’s not going to help your game sense” and I remind them that “game sense doesn’t matter one lick if I can’t hit my shots”. Obviously that’s a bit different in OW considering some of the heroes don’t require mechanical aim, but I don’t play those heroes haha
This is what i never understood. Aim training obviously doesnt teach u game sense. Its just purely mechanics. That argument is so weird lol. But if you have insane gamesense but play dps and you cant hit anything its not gonna help that much.
Right? It’s like playing a game of pick up basketball with your friends and saying “don’t worry guys! I know every rule in the book!” and they’re all like “sure dude… but you can’t even make a simple lay up” haha (sadly that used to be me in real basketball hahah, no shame… gotta start somewhere)
yeah. Like i said. Aim training is still nieche. Im sad that a lot of info is about easy scenarios like grid shot etc. Im currently going for Grandmaster complete and Nova so i focus a lot on static which isnt really nice for overwatch haha. But its just fun. But if i wanted to train specific for OW i would make my own playlist tbh. Its insanely fun if you see results
Voltaic? You’re a monster!
Haha thx. But Mattyow is the true monster Unfortunately i took a break for 6 months due to work and i wasnt home
But i love the grind
Yeah same for me… I’ve made two custom playlists for OW tailored to Flicking and Tracking and noticed incredible results. I just play each task on the list until I get improvements over my average, and then I move onto the next one. Slow, steady progress.
It’s kind of like going to the gym, once you start seeing results, it sparks something within you and you start pushing farther and farther while your mind pushes back on the “training is boring!” aspect less and less.
Yeah that guy is ridiculous. I think my favorite reaction though is people to christmasiscanceled. ‘Why does your bot move so much slower than mine?’ It only looks slow because his crosshair never leaves it.
Nice. Dont foget to train fundamentals in general too so if you transition between games its easier to switch. And 1 more tip i can give you is to switch up routines now and then and always to challenge yourself. Otherwise you wont imrpoove as fast as you would like to
Yeah but he is inactive now when i started i watched him a lot
My ultimate goal i think is gonna be Astra complete but im in no rush at all. Also i really hate static haha
Yeah it was helping me a lot on Valorant, too, which Aim Lab seems to be specifically tailored towards… unfortunately right now I’m dealing with the bug a segment of players are experiencing where the game just won’t load (since Riot added the latest map to the game) but I’m happy with OW so no real loss.
At some point I genuinely just can’t click fast enough to do the static benchmarks. I end up hurting my wrist, too, so I stay away from them for the most part. Good luck with Astra!
