So, for context; i play overwatch on PC. It looks nicer and it is just overall easier to play visual/space wise on pc for me. However, i prefer to play with a controller compared to keyboard and mouse!
I was hoping there would be aim assist on controller but there is not. Please add this! If Apex can do it you guys can too. It’ll just help us out.
We are just basically console players with fancy graphic cards and refresh rate lol.

Full official peripheral support should be available on all platforms of crossplatform games.
That does comes with caveats like necessary crossplatform/cross-peripheral segregation options as well as other restrictions, but I agree it’s time to unlock it.
Players have preferences on their input of choice, as long as the peripheral is accepted in some sort of official capacity (be it licensed or officially approved) there really isn’t a reason not to do this with a few restrictions and player options in place.
Hi. I am the same as you. Currently not playing overwatch because of this. I’m playing a lot of paladins and Fortnite as they have aim assist as well for pc controller.
Every now and then I do a search to see if there is any news about if they’re going to add it, because I love overwatch but other games are just so much funner with the help of aim assist.
Came across your most recent post, and thought I would comment to add my opinion and for a “bump” (lol if that’s a thing on here).
Its easier for blizzard to identify xim users when they see its coming from console. Its much harder to detect an mnk user on pc hacking and giving themselves aim assist on top of that. I understand where you are coming from but I promise overwatch is still miles better on pc. Use a mouse and just get used to it, or just buy a console. As of this moment I don’t think blizzard has any plans of making your request an actual feature.

i dont know much about playing with a controller on pc its possible if it detects an actual controller like for windows it would be the xbox controller that it could automatically enable aim assist as long as the controller is detected

With one important caveat
Input based matchmaking is required for comp. That means that kbm on console will wind up in the PC queue and controller on PC will wind up in the console queue. But only for comp. Cross input in QP is fineish, as long as it stays there.

Everybody hates it in Apex because it’s overpowered. Half of the pros had to switch to using controllers because the aim assist is an aimbot within a certain range.

Yeah I think this happened in halo also.
9/10 of the top players used controllers on pc because it was just SO much better.
Nobody wants to play against you with your soft aim bot. Learn to aim, or get off pc

I think it would be totally fine if you were then grouped with other console players. You’d have much better graphics than console players and have the same aim assist advantage as them.
