Aim assist for controller on PC (Steam deck)

Hey I’m coming from Xbox and recently bought steam deck and download overwatch on the deck. When I play the game it felt really unpleasant to play. Is there anyway to add aim assist or play on controller / console pool instead on steam deck just like XDefiant does

Not in a legal way. The steam deck is technically a PC so the game treats it as such.

You mean in a way that doesn’t violate OW’s ToS.

No. OW on steam deck is the PC title, and they likely will never add aim assist on the PC version.

Yes but can’t they let steam deck / controller players play with console pool not ranked of course

Console pools are isolated from PC for a number of reasons. Allowing steam deck to play against console users opens up the potential for things like cheating or competing with mouse and keyboard.

Yes cheating is the issue I don’t know much about ( because I just started playing on the steam deck ) but they can lock the input device after you use controller or if you use mouse and keyboard you will match up against pc players

Cheating is much too easy on PC based games. It’s not as simple as just having the game prevent a specific input methodology, since you can usually bypass these types of things. Anticheat can occasionally pick up on this, but they likely do not want to leak PC players into the console pool. There may even be restrictions from MS and Sony about how PC players can play with their devices.

Blizzard does recognise the steam deck as a platform and they’ve shown interest in adding support for this kind of thing so I’d say it’s not out of the question!
