AI Replacing Missing Players in COMP?

I’m kinda tired of losing because someone quit the match. If an easy AI were to replace the missing player(s), how much would that change the game? I like to play comp for the competitive nature rather than gold weapons, (they arent that great and dont show how good you are in any aspect anyway) and I hate getting a loss because we were down a player.

I’ve won 5v6s before, but not often. At least the AI would do it’s job rather than ruin my day.

It’d still be a 5v6. AIs can easily be outplayed because they’re not like an actual player that you can’t predict strategies.

AI will feed and make it even worse.

The AI in this game are somewhat limited in both character selection and capabilities. I could see a large number of people complaining that an AI would hold the team back more than an empty slot would.

I’m just saying some healing/damage is better than none of it.

Paladins does this already. The AI may not be that intelligent, but they are there in place of the player until they join back, or the game ends.

They can’t heal if they’re going to constantly be the target. They’ll be eliminated more often than they’re alive.

The AI in this game just runs in mindlessly and feeds the enemy team, if they were to improve the AI somehow then I could get behind this suggestion

Yeah sometimes I like to play my husband 1v1 and we mess around w custom options to try to balance us. Every now and then we try something where he gets an AI helper, but then I just kill his AI first and stagger him since the AI just runs back immediately after respawn. It’d just feed the enemy in comp.

Just give every other player on the team a global 10% buff

easy ai just stands still and shoots at nothing. I (a bronze player) was able to win a game against 3 easy bots (bastion, zen, Zarya) with no one else on my team.
I think a medium bot would be better.

It would honestly make it worse, they’d lock a hero that you can’t use anymore and would just feed enemy ults. It’s not like CS where you can take control of the BOT after you die, it just wouldn’t work in a game like Overwatch
