Ahhh console KBMs are really making this game work

Played competitive and you can go check ny history if you want, I’m usuallt saying prople exagerate and that’s true. When you listen to console players on forums, 80% of the playerbase is on KBM according to them.

While I disagree on that, I do admit that it happens to encounter these players and trust me, you notice immediately. A lot of KBM users have this stupid give away of twitchaiming (if you do it, at least try to not make it flagrant) in a way which is literally impossible to reproduce on a controller.

I have messed around with my own controllers and bought/tried some high end controllers ( nacon, razer, mind control, scuf, you name it). Even when deleting the deadzones it is impossible to twitchaim like KBM type of controllers/ setups.

(Yes I have tested at some point the Hori tac pro and stuff like that as well in training range for an in depth guide I posted on reddit about console aiming. I do absolutely not condone use of KBM on console. All those excuses about why KBM is okay to use for certain people on console for whatever reason are BS. you could easily just go on pc but noo, you would be considered weak there, so let’s go over to console because that way, matchup is ‘fairer’ for them. This is just like a heavyweight fighting in the featherweight cathegory because he can’t compete with other heavies. I call BS. Now that being out of the way, back to the topic!)

Every time I’ve confronted people I suspected of being KBM users in the PSN chat, the few who had the courage to respond all confirmed my suspicion. (that was 3 people in 2.5 years. 4 of them never replied and the one of today was by far the most flagrant. I suppose he just ignored or rightout blocked me after I asked. No I don’t get toxic about it. I don’t agree with it but I don’t see the use of being mad about it and yell at someone and ridicule myself for nothing. I just ask for confirmation of my theory. At this point I think I can recognize these kind of players and won’t even have to ask them anymore. Still the last KBM user before this guy, was around 6 months ago, so no, it does not happen often. At least not in plat and below. However, all those I have met were plat. And 1 diamond. So maybe it’s a big problem up the ranks? Don’t know, I hardly ever make it into plat tbh.)

But this guy was straight out nasty. He perfectly tracked my Lucio in high speed wall jumping in a completely random pattern and hit me 3 times in a row. With his aim never getting off my hero by more than a few milimeters on screen. I was actually suspecting actual cheating but I don’t think that’s a thing on console.

So while I have to admit that his aim is worthy of praise even if it was KBM, that doesn’t excuse the fact that he ruined the match for a lot of people and that it is really unbearable to play against. It’s basically like a soft ban: you can’t leave but you have to watch a stomp for 8min at least. Yay.

I know blizzard said it should not be reported but that defines as cheating for me so I will report that. If blizzard doesn’t want to take action against it, then I hope the automated ban system will take care of it at some point.

I don’t report anyone anymore but this i do. Again it doesn’t happen very often, but when it does it really sacks… a lot.

It’s for kids who aren’t that good at the game and want to give themselves any advantage they can over everyone else.

Every time I see the. I report them for system tampering, and encourage my teammates to do the same. Even if only one gets a ban I’d consider it worth it.

The game is made to use Mouse and Keyboard. That is why the pro use them in OWL

The whole point with playing on consoles is to play with consoles. Meaning consoles and their controllers. If people want to use a keyboard they should play on PC.

You have to bypass the system on console to make that work. That’s like saying you add weight in your boxing gauntlets because that’s how you get equal power to pros. … just no. If you want the experience on KBM, you go play it on pc. End of the question. And no, a console with KBM setup and all the things needed are NOT cheaper, so budget are not an excuse either.

Then consoles should come into year 2019. I remember playing with mouse and keyboard to play final fantasy 11 on the ps2.

Some styles of games are just better on Mouse and keyboard over watch is one of them

Guess here’s a KBM user who’s hurt about knowing deep down he’s cheating or a pc player who has no clue whatsoever. Alright.

FF 11 and FF XIV both support the use of keyboards on console. The game SUPPORTS IT. Game devs specifically said they do NOT CONDONE nor ACCEPT use of KBM on consoles for OW (only that they don’t take real action).

FF games allowed it because the games also (at least FFXIV) has crossplay! That way nobody on console can say pc users have an unfair advantage. We all play together and all have access to the same tools. OW is console platform players only with just a few going specifically out of their way and spend between 150 and even 250+ €.

It’s bad. That’s not even a topic at hand roght now. This was initally just a venting post but don’t even try to justify it, it’s wrong and there’s not a single way you can make it even look ir sound slightly ok.

The heavyweight crushing featherweights analogy still fully applies here.

All the friend i know quit on console to play on PC so they can use Mouse and Keyboard and play the best way.

Overwatch is not CoD which is balanced for a controller first. Overwatch is balanced to be played with Mouse and Keyboard

That’s a complete different topic buddy. And on that we agree. If you want to plau the right way, go get a pc and play on kbm just as your friends did. I’m not condemning pc users or saying OW console is superior. But playing on kbm on console to stroke your ego is just ridiculous.

From the last thread, the minimum PC capable of doing 1080p 60 FPS is just over $500 when adding OS.

If someone already has a console from buying it for other games, then cost to get KBM is a XIM Apex which is $100.

If for some reason they’re going to buy a new console just to use KBM, a new Xbox one is $250 and comes with an additional free game, add a XIM brings the total to $350.

$500+ is a lot more than $100 or $350.

It’s pretty obvious Blizzard can’t do anything about kbm users on consoles. At this point it would be better to just officially support them outright and level the playing field.

OS is something that most people get with the PC. You can get an OW capable PC for the same money as a console with kb/m nowadays.
There is no justification for playing with anything else than a controller on console. Go play on a PC if you need kbm. Unfortunately people are just scum, and feel the need to cheat

Find me a link to buy a new $100 / $350 PC capable of running 1080p 60 FPS like console OW + KBM would.

Oh… and the keyboard is free? As well as the mouse?
And… the mousepad?

Also don’t forget the TV screen in case you buy it from scratch.

And don’t tell me those players go for 10$ KBM’s. I’m still talking ps4 and you’re almost comparing used console purchases compared to buying a whole new pc setup.

You’re still justifying that it’s ok for one single person to ruin the game for everyone else, just to spare at best a 100 bucks. Nice mentality. As long as I’m happy, everyone else can go screw himself. And if I can add to that misery, then even better!

Your fancy Keyboard + mouse + mouse pad + monitor/TV aren’t free with a new PC either. That’s why I don’t count those, because you’re buying the same thing for console or PC.

I’m quoting new console prices from Walmart/Best Buy/Amazon, and new XIM directly from the manufacture. Not used prices.

Don’t bother with this guy. His head is so deep inside his own butt that he can’t see the problem with MKB players on console. And he plays on PC, so there for he doesn’t have a clue…

Conveniently left out the part where you ruin the game for literally anyone who is forced to play with you due to matchmaking just so you can save a 100 bucks and feel superior.

Again. It reminds me of a friend of mine in my team (football) who would love to train with the younger ones just so he could feel good while playing football because in his category he would see how terrible he was.

Unless you can point out a law or rule the forbids the use of a keyboard or mouse, you have no room to talk. Fairness doesn’t even enter into the discussion. If I have a keyboard (which I do) and you have a console controller, you shouldn’t even be concerned about what I have or what you have. Your only concern should be “kill or die”. That’s all that matters, nothing more.

For the sake of argument, if you’re going to complain about you not having a gun while I’m holding one right on your forehead and is about to pull the trigger in the first second, which one do you think is going to happen first? Instead of complaining, do something about staying alive and killing before you die.

I’m pointing out your objectively wrong statement about the cost of PC vs console KBM. I’m not going to change your opinion on what you think of KBM users that’s why I’m not touching that part.
