It still does, it’s primary fire before uppercut, not after. It’s a common technique for people who actually knows how to play df.
Yeah his shields have always been his biggest problem. They should function like hammonds shields but still as a passive.
Dive into a full team of 6? Gain the same amount you would currently.
Diving into 2 enemies completely separated from the rest of their team? WAYYY less shields. He has no need for them in a 1v1/2. He already has such an overwhelming advantage in a duel due to his moves all having either CC/ combo/ one shot potential.
His last shield nerf was nothing, as he’s no easier to burst down.
I don’t want them to completely gut the hero, but I also don’t want him to keep having such an overwhelming advantage in duels. If his HP is between 350-400HP and you don’t have a guaranteed scummy stun combo like mccree/ hog etc, it’s incredibly hard to kill him before he kills you.
Oh no, Doomfist mains will now have to learn to play.

What’s the most common complain about Doomfist? Cheesy Rocket punch kills. What does PTR nerf encourage? Using Rocket punch only, because Uppercut is now useless. Congratulations OW community, you played yourself once again.
as a non-doom player i would of preferred that they lowered his shields a bit, it would of been more manageable that way. hes not that hard to take down but with how many shields he gets it makes it difficult if there isnt about 3ish people focused on him
The nerf ain’t that bad if they keep it to the Primary Fire. It nerfs the combo as intended but doesn’t disable Doomfist.
But the history of Blizz balancing is make a bad nerf to get a character out for sometime then buff him in the future to bring him back.
So I will not be surprise if this goes live.
Remember the sledgehammer nerfs and then Cooldown buffs that nobody asked for. Yeah that’s the balance logic around here.

No, the stupid CC uppercut kills are more cheesy as Rocket punch. The reason why Rocket punch is added to the complaint is because it allows for a super fast get out of jail card. All this nerf does, is make it a little more risky to jump into the middle of a team and pick off someone.

I never want training wheel nerfs for anyone in this game as I feel it dumbs the game down.
Like nerfing the speed of his rocket punch. Instead of someone practicing to get good reaction time and awareness let’s just make things easier for people.
Clunky transitions don’t belong in this game considering the speed of the game. Feel this way about the uppercut as I do about Shadowstep and Rez.
It’s 4 years in. The balance is what it is. Ignore’s feedback from mains, a dumb change no one asked for, overall bad for the game, and finally will make the devs overbuff the hero in an even dumper way to correct something they never should have done.
It does disable Doomfist you can’t move or use abilities , basically it cc,s Doomfist more than the person your uppercutting

Self Stun on a Skill is clunky interaction.
I’m not an anti-nerf guy but I hate clunky interactions.
You keep saying this, but the only time that works is when you get a Slam off that has over 100 damage and you land all your pellets. I’ve played Doomfist for hundreds of hours and still don’t have those two things happen in nearly half my combos. Unless you’re taking a long time to setup the perfect Slam spot, you’re probably only going to get around 90ish damage, and if you’re like the average player, you’ll probably end up missing some of your pellets after you’ve been wildly spinning around during Slam to shoot them.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m a support main too and I hate playing against Doomfist but this nerf wasn’t even called for.
They should have just nerfed the one-shot stun by a bodyshot every 5,4 sec. Or his shield gain or something.
But this is just stupid, it doesn’t make him weaker, it literally stuns himself with his own ability. Nobody should say that’s it’s okey amd balanced that you stun yourself with your own ability.

doom is annoying but this nerf is pretty horrible. self stuns are such a bad way to nerf a character. Just makes them feel clunky and horrible to play. Already enough stuns in this game without self stuns lol
