I can say for sure that it’s a far superior place to discuss the actual game than the forums. It makes so much sense now that the DEVs and pretty much anyone who has any influence in the game go there to find feedback as the people actually discuss things like adults rather than go at each others throats. No one is toxic and try to create divides in the community by assuming one is an evil DPS main, rank shame or anything else cus they have no reason to know unless people say it themselves.
It’s such a different experience discussing the game with people who apply logic and sources to back up their arguments.
For anyone interesting in actual discussions I’d recommend going there especially if you want you to have an impact on the future of the game.

r/Competitiveoverwatch is literally just all e sports talk.
r/OverwatchUniversity is better imo. There’s its not full of owl drama.

You can filter it, you can talk about the game as well and the meta. University is basically for people who need help with the game.
We’ve no proof that the devs explicitly go there to find feedback, at least more than any other source. There is that one dev that spends more time on reddit than others but Mr. Cheers’ reddit activity is usually in the main sub.
Well this forum is a Bunch of mercys of course they don’t understand the game lol
But at least we understand punctuation and proper grammar.

Also, people in there actually have better game knowledge over there too.
Here you’ll see buff genji and nerf genji at the same time on the forums.
Now you’ve done it. You’ve invited all the bad faith arguments to wreck the subreddit.
