This is basically a reverse situation on how Zen used to be. (Which is worst)
(Before his speed increase during his ult, Zen would always be out of position to be effective because he needed to be in the back-line.)
Well now we have a reverse situation, where we have Brig in the frontline, but she has to always turn around to keep track of people’s health pools. (which is a huge nerf and something she should not have to do.)
Also she can no longer survive the front lines where she needs to be.
Let BTC explain more
Aka Blizz messed up with it’s goals here.
(repeating what happen to Zen)
edit: moved on to: :Nerd: List of Goals for the next PTR? (1.40.1?)

Oh please like you can even COMPARE what happened to brig to what happened to symmetra.
The only thing thats different is her armor pack.
Symmetra was litterally slaughtered and carved out like a pumpkin, her guts used to feed sigma while he was busy growing out his toes

I meant Zen… oops editing
Yep, that’s not her position anymore. Different playstyle, not worse.

She has to turn around to keep track of people health pools more.
Turning her head on the enemy in the frontlines.

She plays backline far worse than any other support though.

Um, that’s exactly what happened here, you know. They completely removed Brig’s survivability, and she was previously the least survivable support. Yes, even with the full 500 HP shield and full self-healing. She depends on being able to survive in melee range in order to do literally any single thing for which she was built (healing, peeling, disruption), and yet, because of bad players complaining, she got every bit of her ability to do so removed.

Her abilites arn’t made for the Backlines

Well, symmetra is now more played and with greater success than before.
Everyone is saying how its not a nerf, and it’s a playstyle change.
This 'playstyle is your generic style of supporting which is now less aggressive, less front line and less-- just Brig in general. What happend to the offtank frontline and medium range healer? The entire identity of Brig is lost in this now.
That with this lack of survivability and still lack of mobility, you have this brig we have now.
Which is just a weaker version of every other support, except we get a paperthin shield.
But I’m just gold, what the hell do I know.

Sym was brought up by mistake

It’s a step back whether you want to realize it or not. Wake up already. This is far from her original design.

Now she actually requires skill yeah, you need to look around you and use healthpacks, hide behind walls to not get your shield destroyed in 2sec, rocket flail when it’s available and peel for your team in general to activate her Inspire.
In your opinion, wake up already. Her original design was to be anti dive, she’s literally still the best support to counter dive.
I’m curious now to try her out!
She required skill before, and only bad players thought otherwise. It’s not our fault you want to walk straight at the enemy and then get wrecked by a low-damage, melee-range hero.

Yes I love a good story, but this is a Brigitte topic. I don’t care who brought up Sym.
Oh stop with the skill speech already my god. This is why this game has gotten worst over the years. Every hero is required skills that’s why players who plays them more mastered them.
Which she did before, but now the condition has worsen. No point to play her often when other supports does it better.
Under whose view exactly? I hope this isn’t your personal opinion, but then again you have a “skill” fetish on specific heroes. I guess it is your personal opinion.

Still likely better than Bastion.
Yeah she’s like Symmetra now. Needs babysitter overall forcing players adapting to new styles and don’t like if they’re against the performance. Then you got players preaching about skills as if they’re the encyclopedia of Overwatch.
Not to mention the players preaching about “skeelz” are always the really bad players who want to straight-line at the enemy backline and get blown up, then blame the heroes instead of their own gameplay. Then they cry for entitled nerfs instead of admitting they played poorly and looking for ways to improve.
This wouldn’t be a problem, because it happens all over gaming, except that the Overwatch devs completely cave to this crowd. I mean, absolutely will do anything to please them, and that completely shatters this game’s competitive integrity. Or integrity, period.
