Alright so this is just absolutely unfair, in stadium, if someone is completely afk for the entire start of a match, the match still isn’t cancelled when they are kicked for inactivity. Just now, I had someone not even select a character, completely afk, and got a character chosen for them, then to further prove they were afk the whole time, they picked no perks or powers. When they finally get kicked for inactivity, the match DOESN’T cancel, we get the timer and lose ranked points. And I had someone in that match saying they’ve experienced it before.
I believe this is due to the system they have in place being flawed. As far as I can tell, it’s based on the time from the start of the match before they get kicked as to whether the match cancels, INCLUDING time in spawn area. You can even see this more in normal competitive with payload maps, where the setup time is significantly longer, and someone can leave barely into the start of the match and still the other teammates get penalized, compared to maps like control where the timing is much more lenient and makes much more sense, because the setup time is lower. And because the time for setup in stadium is SIGNIFICANTLY longer, you can be afk the WHOLE time and still not trigger the match cancellation.
I think that entire system should change, and the time to cancel the match should be established after all setup phases.
But at a bare minimum, it needs to be fixed in stadium, because if someone LITERALLY DOESN’T PARTICIPATE IN THE MATCH AND ARE COMPLETELY AFK, their teammates shouldn’t lose ranked points. And it’s shouldn’t be surprising it occasionally happens when queue times get up to 30 mins sometimes. It makes me not want to play stadium at all, being a ranked mode, I don’t like the idea of losing points out of sheer and complete luck.
I can get a replay code if needed or anything, but this needs to be fixed for a ranked mode.
