So I’ve been messing with the Workshop since it came out. Created several games all from scratch (Started out watching ‘How-To Vids’ (A Shrew’s Berry along w/ a few others) & just experimenting w/ the code to see what did what…Anyways, among the games I’ve made, the one I’ve spent the most time on (and am the most proud of?) is my own take on the ever popular “Upgrade” game mode. Built completely from scratch, so it’s quite different from any other Upgrade you see in the lobby.
What I need is to talk to someone who’s;
A, smart on coding in general
OR
B, understands Overwatch’s scripting system in explicit detal.
My issue
I have 170 Rules & am nearing the limit the workshop system offers [The 20,000 Total Element Count]. (Most of my rules are small, <5Kb, the largest one being only 13Kb big.) Because of this, the game becomes unstable and crashes if I have more then 8ppl [4v4]. So I made a “Lite” version of this mode and shrunk it down to ~100 rules. This allowed me to have 12ppl again [6v6]. However, after Echo & Sig were released, along with a new feature I added to the game, im starting to run into issues again. My Average Server Usage stays between 200% - 255% and the game stutters a lot. Sooner then later, im gonna have to shrink the game down to 10 players [5v5]. What makes up 80% of the rules are the hero abilities. Each hero has 2 scripted ability (1 ability in the ‘Lite’ version of the game)

So…what im asking
is for someone to go though my game with me, and help me optimize my scripts. Teach me how to use some of the Conditions & Actions better (& some that im not using at all).
IF it’s better to have More Rules, that are smaller/less complex OR to have Less Rules, where each rules is Large & Complex.
