Advanced Bots Practice Range V8.0/9.4

Workshop Code: 2613W (Volskaya)v8.0
9R7YQ (Havana, longer distance)v9.6

This is the latest AI bots practice range I made, which can help players to practice their skill against bots that simulate real players. It has many functions and modes.
.
Demo video: https://youtu.be/fKyXD8kgqeY

List below are the main functions
-Random strafing Ana, Zen bots
-Ana Sleep dart mode, which enable AI ana to randomly uses sleepdart, it can help to practice avoiding sleepdarts.
-Tracer bot, random moving, and dash, it will recall when damaged.
-AI Doomfist, which will attack player with doomfist combo similar to a real df player.
-AI Pharah, will randomly fly and use ablities when being attacked by player.
-AI Genji, randomly moving and double jump, when close to a player or attacked by a player it will uses deflect.
-AI Mercy, friendly mercy will dmg boost or heal you and follow you. While enemy mercy will heal bots and fly with pharah to simulate a pharmercy in real games.
-Speed control for bots.
-Healing control for bots.
-Scoring mode, press interact key in the blue ring near the point will start a 60sec timer, killing bots or landing headshot will add score. The highest score player will be displayed on the top left.
-Bots damage switch, you lower bots damage, so you wont get insta killed by the OP AI doomfist lol.
-“I need healing” voice line will heal you and fully charge your ult, great for practice genji blade.
-“Group UP” voice line will send bots into air, and randomly strafe in the air, make aiming much harder. Use “Thanks” voice line to turn it off.

Crouch on the small rings to control each functions. Player in Slot 0 can control all the functions, other players can only control some of those functions.

Im still working on improving this game mode, feel free to give me feedback or suggestion to make it better.

I just made the Havana version based on your request.

All in all it’s pretty fantastic. My only problem… well I guess request really (cause I’m shameless ;D) is the Zen bot. The strafe programming is excellent, however it’s rather redundant since the bot is a Zenyatta who’s hitbox is bassically a triangle.

If possible could we get a version where instead of Zen strafing it’s Sombra, or Widowmaker, or pilot Dva since they have some of the smaller hitboxes (alongside tracer who’s already an excellent moving target <3).

Otherwise keep up the great work it’s much appreciated <3

EDIT: I just noticed the spawned mercy has a strong tendency to stick with the pharah if there is one and almost entirely ignore the other bots. As well if you remove pharah and only spawn genji or DF she’s does the same thing. But when those bots are off she jumps around more to the other 3 to heal them when damaged

I just made two new rings so you can choose bot heros from zen, widow, soldier, sombra, sym, moria and lucio or let the game randomly spawn those. The code is RX9MW.

Im also currerently working on a sombra bot that will try to hack player from behind, but it is not ready yet. For the Mercy bot, I did make the priority to make sure it follows slot1 bots which are the pharah genji or doomfist, since those bots has interaction with player.

This code has been amazing and I use it for warmup every day. But I struggle a lot with long distance mechanics (I play mostly ana, Zen, and baptiste) Is there a way you can create this code for another map/location that favors Long Distance Shooting. Idk if there’s a way to do it with Havana’s Hanger/spawn 3 or another map with a highly open area for Long Range.

Please let me know if you’re able to do this <3 (I would understand if not, but I have to ask anyways ^-^)

Import code doesn’t work.

Try 2613W, the old code might might word in new patch.

It worked, just not on the PTR. Sorry for your troubles. I was informed that the PTR has separate workshop codes.

I spawned bastions by the way, and had them flying on the left side of the map. It was incredibly effective at aim practice with Hanzo.

Oh, ptr and live use different codes, you can copy all the codes in workshop, and paste into PTR workshop.

I just made another training mode just like Aim Hero, but with bots as target, the code is E0MHC, it is very good for building flick mussle memory.

There’s a Few problems with the Long distance trainer I’m afraid. The first is there’s this ridiculous movement bug where the enemy will randomly go flying to the side of the map for no reason before being teleported back because they got out of the area too far.

And then there’s an issue of them running past sight lines and just staying past them for a random amount of time. Half the time i can usually just walk to the side to get them in sight lines but the other half they go even further and in order to get sights I literally have to get within 10 meters

Anyways outside of these weird bugs/interactions it’s working great. I just wish i coulda tried it out sooner. I transferred shifts couple months ago and it’s Been Unreal! :frowning: Silver lining this is a tremendous help for me improving long range mechanics since we been in the state of shield watch you never ever get to practice anything past 2 inches that isn’t a wall XD

You can change the radius those bots can move before being sent back to the point. The switch is inside the room with a purple ring. By reduce the radius down to 14m you will less likely to have the bots out of your line of sight at long distance. If the bots is too far from the center point, they will be tp back to the center, there is no way I can program them to walk back to the center, since they have the random strafing action on loop, if I cancel the strafing action and force them to walk back, they will become too easy to aim.

Alright I tried it out it works! Thank you again for this mate it’s greatly appreciated. The bots still randomly Fly across the screen more now, but ironically that actually makes it better practice cause it accidentally simulates if the bot got knocked back super fast similar to your allies pharah concussive blast, orisa full range halt, brig whip shot etc

Thank you so much for this course! Well done, good sir!

Up, this is amazing

Hi, is it possible to turn off all the bots and only choose one which I want? Other bots distract me.
Great work btw. Thank you.

Go into Settings> Workshop> and scroll down to Dummy bots (about pannel 33ish) and click the +. Then check off watever bots you want to be removed and delete the action (the checked off box/bot bassically) and then you can save it is as a second/alternative version to the original without the existence of the other original bots to get in the way.
