Add The "Team UI" From "KingMaker" To ALL Modes

The best feature from the “KingMaker” mode was the “Team UI” at the bottom-left of the screen, that showed:
:small_orange_diamond:Team health
:small_orange_diamond:ULT status
:small_orange_diamond:Respawn timers

As a support main, this was very helpful as I could keeping track of my teammate health with a quick glance. I was hoping/thought Blizz would add the “Team UI” into ALL modes, but never did?

:high_brightness: For anyone who didn’t play “KingMaker”, this is how the “Team UI” looked:

It was nice but you do know you can turn on healthbars to contextual for your team just as a fyi that way you can keep better track of peoples placement and their danger. I have done this for all my support hud chars

Party Frames?

Always :raised_hands:

What does “contextual” healthbars do? I have the “default” setting that always show teammates health.

lols, did you post in the wrong thread?

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn’t know that the “Team UI” is called “Party Frames” lol.

contextual healthbars only show it when their health isnt full just a way of knowing exactly who needs help right away and cuts out cluttered mess when your team is clumped together

there is no point this game is dead and beyond recovery

The party frames are a good help for supports to let you know if someone not in your LoS also need help (anyone really, not just supports). For instance someone coming back from spawn is getting ganked behind you and not calling out for help.

They just need to make is an option anyways, turn them on off off, whichever you prefer.

Exactly, these are the reasons I made this thread.

If you hate overWatch so much, why are you in the official message board?

Yes, absolutely.

At least give us the option to turn them on.

Great QOL change.

I legit thought that would add the “Team UI” to the main game after the “KingMaker” test. It’s frustrating how Blizzard spends time/money to develope a great feature, then just abandon it. >_<

I expect they will at some point - they’ve tested the UI in PVP a couple of times and the feedback has been generally positive each time.

It’s probably more of a question of when and how to implement it at this point:

  • Should it be switched on or off by default for all accounts? If not, does it provide too large an advantage to players that do have it switched on? Should it be on by default for new accounts?
  • If it does provide an advantage to those who have it enabled, should it just be enabled for everyone? Do enough people like the feature to actually do this, or will a huge portion of the playerbase hate having a ton of extra UI on the screen all the time?
  • Should it be toggled on or off in Competitive? How about in OWCS?

Just examples of questions they’re probably working through at the moment.

To answer your questions:

  1. Yes ~ Team UI should be ON by default for new accounts
  2. Yes ~ Team UI should be enabled for everyone, with option to turn it off for those who hate it
  3. Yes ~ Team UI should work in both competitive and OWCS
