So people can’t have mics that sound like a plane is going to land in your home. I’m not going to get on voice and get tinnitus from it.
Lmao. How would they do that though?
That stuff already exists on teamspeak, you get your sound lowered if you’re too loud.
You can turn down voice chat volume in your settings
I already have it at so low that I can barely hear what people say but some people have their mics set so loud that it sounds like an airplane landing anyways.
Mute them? Some mics are close to the player and sometimes they have their settings adjusted but a limit really wouldn’t make sense.
How will that help after they’ve already been too loud? They shouldn’t be able to be that loud in the first place.
“like a plane” kjalbdajs this is so true!
I play from my plane.
It helps because you won’t hear them anymore? Sometimes they don’t even know there own mic is too loud.
But the damage is already done by the time they speak the first time. They’re too loud. It’s a health hazard that Blizzard even allows that high sound on voice.
Turn you headset volume down than, or just don’t join voice chat period if you’re not trying to listen to your teammates, it’s not a health hazard because no one’s mic is at 150 decibels which is usually considered enough to burst your eardrums, but the threshold for death is usually pegged at around 185-200 dB, I’m pretty sure no one has a mic that loud.
I would like an option to turn someone down like you can on discord. While sure you can mute x person, it could be important to hear their call outs. Also turning voice chat volume down might prevent you from hearing other people.
Most of the time I just let them know their mic is super loud and ask if they can turn it down a bit and they normally do no problem. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone say no and not do it. They can’t hear themselves so they might not even know it’s loud.
You don’t need 150 db to cause tinnitus.
Turn my headset volume down? It already is at 50%, I have voice chat so low that I can barely hear people speak but still some people manage to come and sound like an airplane that’s landing, if I lower it any more I can’t hear anything.
Last time I did that the guy in question turned on his speakers and put on listen to device on it instead of his headset and caused insane audio feedback.
Like this.
How do you ask ? Cause that’s kinda important. If you do it in an annoyed tone people will lash out like this. I just say something like “Homie your mic is bit super loud, would it be okay if you turned it down a bit ?” But yaa I don’t disagree with you that you should be able to turn individual people’s volume down.
Yeah but Blizzard doesn’t do features that are in other applications:
-
Clans
-
Scoreboards
-
Sound dampeners for screamers
We do things our own way here. For worse or worse.
“That’s how you get tinnitus!” ~Lucio
then the loud people still drown out the average people. in fact it’s even harder to hear them this way. limiting one players voice vs five. mute works but still annoying to do so esp during a TF i have to wait to do it
