Add in a score board that you can access through a tab on character sheet

Add in damage done, healing done, kills, etc. This would be nice so you can tell how you are doing and what you need your teammates to focus on.

this used to exist but it was for both the enemy and your team but it was a long time ago and got removed because it had problems

Counter strike and TF2 have a scoreboard, but because of it bottom fraggers in the team are usually vote kicked. Overwatch has no vote kick system so a scoreboard might only frustrate the try-hards even more producing more toxicity

That’s exactly why Blizz has said OW doesn’t have one. They breed toxicity. OW does not need any more of that.

i don’t think this is ever coming back because it makes fun of the people in the bottom and produces toxicity and simply doesnt fit or work well

People give others enough crap already without a scoreboard. I can’t imagine how much the toxicity would increase with the addition of one.

It would be nice to know at a glance whether I’m not performing as well as I should be or if our team is just being dominated globally by the other teams.
Its already difficult enough to determine whether or not I’m not pulling my weight unless I’m being completely worthless.

I mean I haven’t really encountered alot of toxicity (43 hours in as well) at least compared to other games. I have 11 hours in comp as well and most people will just say GG on a loss.

Uh, ma’am. You can look at your medal count to see how well you’re doing personally. Blizz just isn’t going to let you troll lowbies with their stats.

But the medal count makes no difference when 2/2/2 is heavily enforced. Not to mention silver and gold medals are qualitive, not quantative stats.
DPS will almost always have golds and silvers in damage, as per their role, but I can’t compare myself to the other dps or vice versa. The difference between silver and gold can easily be upwards of 5000+ damage and 10+ elims. It’s not a good way to compare. Not to mention you have to go off whatever they claim is gold up until the medals screen which may not even show it.

If there are 3 dps, and you’re gold dmg, then that should be all that matters. You don’t need to know their stats, just what medals you have. If you’re all bronze, then clearly someone is out-pacing you. You don’t need to know who, the same way if you’re all gold you don’t need to know who’s bronze. You don’t need specifics, and this is precisely WHY Blizz said no. They specifically don’t want you comparing stats. Do you.

I think it just paves a way to bully people into switching off their heroes. I say if you want to dictate your comp then group with friends. I don’t think a scoreboard has a place in OW.

But if I’m bronze in damage, that could be a difference of anywhere between 1 - 10,000 damage. The system is too vague to tell whether or not I’m performing on par with my team. I’m not going to attack people on the bottom of the scoreboard (since tanks would almost always fall there), its entirely for personal review.

This game NEEDS a scoreboard if they want their precious OWL to survive, and for Competitive to actually be taken seriously. NOT having it has bred a lot of toxicity anyway, with blame being tossed around and it’s easy to lie about medals. Had a guy one game claim he had all golds, when it was my sister who had those golds. But nobody believed her.

You won’t attack them, but a good 75% of the community would.

Hate to break it to you, but people are going to be hateful either way. Just give people like me the option instead of catering to people who can’t deal with insensitivity in by far one of the worst online communities I’ve ever seen.

Just because people are going to be hateful that doesnt mean you should give them ammunition. If your neighbor on your right says they’re gonna lynch the neighbor on your left, you do not hand him rope.

Using that analogy, one of the other neighbours took the rope off me because a select few couldn’t be trusted with it. This is just Blizzard being so hellbent on being an all-ages, family friendly game to appeal to as many people as possible and its the only reason why people don’t want the scoreboard in game. If one can’t deal with their team acknowledging their poor performance, perhaps one should reconsider whether or not they should be on the internet in the first place.

Oh, come off it. Do you think you’re going to convince anyone that your desire to stat crunch should be higher than community cohesion? Have you SEEN this community? Are you really so selfish as to accuse Blizz of wanting to be family friendly while OW has one of the most toxic gaming communities? All because they won’t give out stats that WILL be used to increase toxicity? For REAL?

I don’t want to stat crunch, I want to be able to see if I’m improving. In a game where your team is the decider in whether or not you lose, not individual skill, its hard to tell if I’m doing what is needed or underperforming. What other reason for not having a scoreboard is there other than “people will use it to insult each other” as if they don’t already do it with rank, hero picks, time invested into a character and pretty much every other aspect of this game?
