Who else thinks they should make an ‘unranked’ mode. Was playing the other day and had to leave my computer for something, so just habit I left the game resulting in a 5 minute ban, which isn’t long but got me thinking about an ‘unranked’ mode. Like R6, they have a quickplay and what they call standard (unranked). Same rules as Comp, just minus the rank changes. You get penalised for leaving a standard game as you should but nothing for leaving a quickplay game. personally I think overwatch should do something like this, the only down side would be slightly longer queue times but to me that seems like a fair exchange for good quality matches. or at least change the name to unranked as quickplay for me is quite misleading considering the bans for leaving. Thoughts?
I’m not opposed to this solution. Its probably a better system then we currently have, and helps segregate users further based on how casual/competitive they want their games to be.
The only problem I could see is people may want to play without leavers but with the quicker ruleset QP has.
Quickplay is under the “unranked” tab.
So just like unranked overwatch modes, which includes quickplay role queue, quickplay open queue and mystery heroes.

I get you but an ACTUAL unranked mode. Comp rules without the worry about your rank
It is not going to achieve anything. You are just going to get a quitter mode that is taken even less seriously than QP.
Sounds like a funny solution to me. Its gonna have a massive queue time. But the leavers will actually get to hang amongst their people. So im all for it! Give us the enternal backfill queue!
Quickplay is that mode. Sadly it’s only half matches though, but quickplay is that unranked mode.
During the ow2 beta the devs enabled full matches (both defence and attack) on quickplay since qp was the only available mode to play.
I really loved that. The matches felt fair and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Sadly quickplay returned to normal when the beta ended.
With how many leavers are out there, it will be more popular than QP and then the problem will become that it is not being taken seriously.
Different name, same problems.
It wont be more popular. No one likes leavers. Except leavers.
And even then thats only true when leavwrs are talking about leaving. Most leavers are generally unpleasant people.
