You can’t 4 stack in the game, therefore meaning you can’t bully the last player into hitting the surrender button if all 5 players are required for a surrender. Yes it might be annoying when 4/5 players hit the surrender button and the game is an absolute stomp, but most of the time it’s just gonna feel nice to just get out of games you and your team aren’t having fun in because you’re getting stomped.

how? a teammate would suggest a vote,and when somebody says no its canceled, when all 5 teammates say yes the game ends and u lose?

Most matches are winnable. All a surrender option does is encourage weak mental players to give up even faster than they already do. If you can’t handle the possibility of losing a match then don’t play competitive video games. Go play Roblox or Fall Guys, bucko.

Incorrect. Even if you’re not “weak minded”, if you’re in one of those unwinnable games all it’s gonna do is make you waste your time until the game is over until you can queue again. Plus it’s all 5 players of the team that decides of this surrender, not just one or two because they’re too tilted to continue. And how would you explain that games that are way more competitive than Overwatch like Valorant/CS has a surrender button, are they too weak minded for you?

What if ur playing against a cheater? what if u play against fivestack of smurfs? This seams like a very reasonable idea to me.
Its like people automatically try to shut every idea thats not theirs.
Those “weak mental players” would not be allowed to surrender unless their whole team agrees, so what are u on about? Where is the negative?
And what happens when the 4 don’t get their way. 9 times out of 10 they Get toxic. Or they stop playing and stand afk. This community already quits without the quit button. They don’t need an option.

With or without surrender button, if 4 people felt like they wanted to give up (but they currently can’t), they already do throw and get toxic. Adding it isn’t gonna make much difference other than making you able to legitimately quit some games.

This is literally an issue with the report system and not the suggestion itself. If Blizzard decided to make a proper report system and actually ban people who deserve it rather than someone getting mass reported this is an issue on their end.
The fact remains that if we just added a surrender option, people would do this.

You can already report people when they don’t do what you want them to do, so let’s just delete the whole game altogether!

Even if they magically reworked the report system to NOT be abusable, people would STILL bully others if they don’t get their way and do so currently. “go hitscan or no heals” “go shield or I throw”
I would rather not have further options for people to end games early.

my question to all the opposers of surrender button, why would u want to play with all those quiters? You would rather finish the game with someone on ur team that clearly suffers and throws the game for the rest, just so u could deny him the option to not waste ur time? this is irrational.
Far fewer than people think, though. Too many will declare gg in spawn after going through profiles. Those are the people that’ll throw if the team won’t agree to surrender.
