Achievement "Smooth as silk" not granted

I play on PC, in a game of quickplay - mystery heroes i managed to get a scoped headshot while airborne as widow. After the game i did not get the achievement.

I checked the replay:

  • i was airborne
  • the shot was scoped
  • The game shows i killed them with a critical hit wich i assume means headshot

I don’t think any of the hero specific achievements unlock during Mystery Heroes do they? Only Quickplay or Comp, and while Mystery Heroes and Quickplay are both classified as Unranked, that does not mean that Unranked Mystery Heroes counts as Unranked Quickplay.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I don’t think Mystery Heroes has ever worked for these achievements.

That could explain,
while mystery heroes is part of quickplay now, i understand it has not always been. I guess the achievements might still consider it arcade.

I just checked, and I realized that I had mistaken ‘quickplay’ for ‘unranked’.

You have to do it in either Quick Play or Competitive, role queue and open queue are both fine. You can’t get hero achievements in any other modes. Mystery Heroes is not Quick Play, but they both fall under the “Unranked” category.
