Blizzard should confirm that some of heroes are aces so that ruckus about “minorities” will stop without causing marketing problems in countries that maintain traditional moral values (fortunately those nations still exist).
Moira, Reaper, Hanzo, all three seem asexual already so where’s the harm? That’d silence people talking about lack of non straight characters easily without any harm to anything else.
I’m totally not ace and biased though.
Does. It. Matter.
They’re pixels at the end of the day. They’re nothing to most of the playerbase.
Keep real world issues out of fake world games. Don’t force it. If it happens, it happens. Don’t suggest, it makes everyone feel like your shoving it down their throats.
These LGBT threads are becoming more and more toxic to the community. Even players who admit they’re LGBT don’t like these forum’s suggesting everything like they do 4 times a day.
Okay, I’m genuinely asking what exactly is “ace” and why is it associated with sexuality?
Edit: Thanks for the clarification

“Ace” is used to refer to asexuals in short. Asexuals have no sexual interests (which is clean and neutral, not causing any problems anywhere in the world).

And this is where this thread dies.

What is with all these threads today?
What you’re suggesting is that asexuality is “diet LGBT.” You’re suggesting that Blizzard gun for diversity (as is part of their mission statement for this IP, like that fact or not), but without any actual risk, feathers ruffled or status quos disrupted.
That’s unpleasant on so many levels.
I’m not suggesting making sexual orientation something that defines a character. That’d be a cheap move and we have examples of this. Characters that are focused on it have bland personalities and aren’t remotely interesting.
What I suggest is confirming asexual heroes, because why not when that kind of people exist and yet game doesn’t officially confirm their existence while Blizz obviously pushes diversity. This just brings “diversity” on the table as in not all characters being straight as extra perk (in Blizz’s book).
Basically I’m not suggesting to strictly push diversity. It’d just come as extra and won’t cause any problems.
Also, I don’t understand what’s unpleasant about it. There are millions of people who live in traditional countries. Their views must be respected too.
