Account Warning

Okay, so I got an account warning today and I think I know why.

Context: I was playing a game in Quick Play and my team was being rude to me for the entire match, refusing to help me or even heal me, I did say “k*s” (remove * and add y) in chat to one of the rudest people there.

I know I shouldn’t have and genuinely regret doing so, it is not good to be mean even if someone is/multiple people are being endlessly toxic. Do warnings slowly expire? I have never been silenced or suspended, nor do I want to be silenced or suspended (or banned). I know I messed up there, what do I do?

Technically yes
Any account actions are based on number of reports over a period of time. So if you do nothing silly going forward, you’ll be fine.

Okay, it was a heat of the moment thing and I regret doing it, I won’t do anything goofy-gooberish again. It was a dumb decision on my end.

I really wasn’t until I said that. They were calling me trash all game, refusing to help or heal me, etc. I got angry in that moment, as anyone would.

I ended up responding to antagonism like that by being a goblin back and I am finishing up the last few days of a two week chat ban.

The lesson that I learned is that it doesn’t matter who starts it toxicity is toxicity.

I’m gonna try to kill folk like that with kindness, or just turn chat off if it gets to me.

Yeah sounds like it was just a silly moment.

I’d always say if you want to say something, mute your mic and then say what you need to say out loud.

You get it out of your system, they don’t hear it and everyone moves on.

This is true, I was thinking the same thing, toxicity is toxicity and I should’ve done better and avoided going there. I was a goober.

I really try to avoid saying or doing anything that would lead me to being banned. As I said, I’ve never been silenced or suspended, it was just me being dumb.

I… didn’t get banned, I got a warning, just a warning. I’ve never been silenced, suspended or banned, ever.

I think you may have misread their post. I know that the joke your making is a common one we see here, but OP more or less said they reflected on what they did and understand why they got warned (not banned) and is asking for advice on what to do about it.
