Account suspended with no email explaining why

I started playing today and after 3 matches my account gets suspended for no reason.
I never hacked a game in my life, i didn’t break any EULA or w\e rules to warrant such a harsh action.
Seriously. Did one of the game masters just got salty and did it out of spite?
Is this what we’ve been reduced to?

This implies Blizzard actually pays real people to moderate their games.

Well considering my situation, i’d assume mistakes were made or someone had a vendetta.
Until they clarify why i got my account permanently suspended i can assume whatever i want.
It can be a few things like abusing the report system to players being sore losers and if the mods and gms are playing the game i can also assume one got salty and did something childish.

You started playing today and are already banned? Must be a record.

Why don’t you try and appeal? Tbh, based on a quick look through your post history, I’d love to see the email they send back

Your post history makes me feel like you might have done something in-game to deserve it tbh

There was a ban wave, and I’ve seen quite a few posts like this.

It is likely they have something which has gone a bit overboard, and in those cases, they usually back the hell off, and reinstate stuff given a bit of time.

You have to do a lot to wear a ban.

You do know that is something a cheater would say, cheaters always deny they are cheaters, when busted or otherwise…

i think its last month? i was playing ai mode with a newbie friend and he got reported and temporarily banned from any game. Said they were investigating because of the report or something…

Considering i never got an email explaining the reason and that ive never hacked any game i’ve played. . . no that isn’t the case.
Hell if i do get an email saying i was banned for cheating i’ll post it here no problem.
And that’ll never happen because i have never cheated, ever.
Ive been playing since OW1 so i treasure my account and all the effort and money i put into it.

They are closing down OW, but first they want you to make a new account and buy paid items all over again.

Welcome to Blizzard!

You know you are full of it. They don’t just randomly suspend accounts. I think it’s funny.

You know, I was a very different person in my late teens compared to who I am today (29).

I had a favorite group of TF2 servers I liked to play on and became a server admin after a while. Gotta tell ya, patience and social skills should be a requirement for any form of moderation, because I abused the absolute pluck out of my server powers and permissions.

Something (like a long history of having the same experience you’re finding now) tells me you’re spot on. :joy:

Gotta say, though,

This is a very 2018 question. The 2023 version would be something like, “how has this kept working for so long?”

I got an answer from the guys at Blizz and apparently i did “something” what that something is? I don’t know and they didn’t clarify anything.
I guess this is how much they respect us as players, been doing this since OW1 and i never received bans of any sort.
They did not giving me a clear answer and that is just sickening. Morally corrupt is what they are.

recently over on hearthstone, a soundfile for it caused virus detection to call it a virus

maybe its a faulty hack detection?

Suspension is temporary, banned is permanent.

edit:// Looks like OP fixed title.

Youre a victim of lazy moderation and the automated system

Opening a support ticket, is the only way to resolve this.

you might be a victim of false reporting and the so called gamemasters i think its just the broken ai…to be honest im afraid to play

Were you using a XImmer on console by chance?
