Account suspended - No reason shown?

Hi guys, just tried logging in and it shows that my account is suspended for 2 weeks.
I was wondering what the reason was so I opened up my mail:

"Action Taken: We have temporarily suspended access to this Overwatch® account.

Suspension expires on: 2024-05-21 09:41"

I do not see a actual reason, is there a possibility to contact support or not really optional?

Were you in chat? if so what did you say/type?.. BE BRUTALLY HONEST.

are you a 1 trick, or did you have games with bad stats?

Welcome to the club.

I’ll do some digging and see what I can come up with. Thank you for posting.

I rarely type in the chat, most of the time it’s just gg or hi. I did encounter the most salty hanzo player in months that I killed a few times during the start of the match, teammates from his side switched to sombra etc. and killed me over and over again saying I sucked. Didn’t reply to them but now I think the entire party maybe reported me.

How can I see what the exact reason is?

There has been no reason attached to the emails for a long time. Since before OW2 I think. It used to say what you were actioned for, like “abusive chat” or “griefing/gamethrowing”.

Now it’s just based on volume of reports and the system verifies nothing other than you were reported X times within Y number of games.

Simply standing up to toxic stacks and defending yourself against accusatory abusive players will earn you a ban. I’ve had 3 accounts permabanned already.

Damn, that’s rough!

I find it weird that if you’re up against a 3/5 stack and they for some reason pick on you and all report you Blizzard just puts you in the cooler… I think I’ll just set up a new account and remove the option to chat all together.

There are only really 2 things that people get suspended for now:

“Abusive” chat (e.g. saying anything ever if you main bad heroes, or being toxic if you main normal heroes)

Cheating (Usually a perma ban).

So you were deemed “toxic”. Most likely, people hated how you played and reported for comm abuse since they know that’s the best way to get someone suspended.

Turn off text chat and don’t speak in voice - this is the game Blizzard wants.
