Account Has Merged!

For those of you still waiting in the Queue, I offer hope:

I have been trying to have my lost progress restored since Tuesday. I didn’t even get the prompt to merge accounts on my Xbox until yesterday afternoon, but after jumping into the merge queue, and the updates last night, my account has been fully restored: skins, progress, stats, literally everything except the Noire Widowmaker Skin that was a preorder bonus for OW1, but I’m reading online that that’s a separate issue of that skin being in the game, but bugged to not show, so I’m sure that will be resolved in the future.

I want to throw out some info to try to help those still dealing with this maddening issue:

  1. Contrary to what we were told pre-launch EVERYONE who played OW1 MUST do an account merge, even if you only ever played on one platform and even if that account was already linked to your Battle.net account. I know this, because I only ever played on my Xbox and my account was already linked to my Battle.net account, but nothing happened until I got into the Merge Queue.

  2. If you have an account merge option showing on your main menu (which hopefully following Thursday’s updates, you do) It will most likely do nothing when you click/press on it. BUT if you close out of the game and then reopen, that button should work! It did for me on my Xbox.

  3. Once you’ve confirmed your accounts to merge you will typically be told to close out of the game and to come back and that the whole process will take less than a minute. Because of the server traffic, now it will most likely take MUCH longer. I got into the queue yesterday around 3:30pm, and my account was successfully merged when I woke up this morning.

  4. Once you have confirmed and you’re in the merge queue it’s just a waiting game. Everything from that point happens on the server side. You may be given a number in the queue, you may not at first, but you’ve done everything right up to this point.

I know these issues have been frustrating, and I know there are still a bunch going through them, but I just wanted to throw some hope out there, that you’re account stuff is still there, and getting connected to it is getting progressively easier with each passing day from all of the launch day havoc.

What about if it says ‘‘Account changed’’ will it still work or do I have to do something because i simply pressed merge a week ago and haven’t changed anything

it said my account was successfully merged so i restarted game and i dont have anything from ow1

my account is merged but I literally don’t have anything in my account at all

Congratulations man! Mine said it merged then popped me back in queue… but it’s chill I’m still gonna have hope! But I noticed my heroes are unlocked! Yayy!

My account has been merged, however I still do not have anything from OW1

My account merge finished as well but my things did not carry over. My progress is lost i was in the queue and had my account linked to battle.net since day 1. Blizzard robbed me.
