My e-mail was hacked around June 23rd and they stole my Blizzard account. I am lucky they didn’t want much more from me. I think I am safe now with passwords and things changed. Very scary experience, I am still pretty freaked out.
Anyway, I am honestly really scared to try to fight for my old account back. Can I simply put in a request to have the mobile number removed from the old account and take the loss?
Not really without regaining access to your old account, but you should be able effectively recover your account if you reach out to Blizzard via a web ticket. All you need os a scanned digital image of a government issued ID that matches the name on your account. I would strongly recommend recovering your account as any illegal activity can impact other accounts under the same name (such as cheating). Get started here:
