Account closed for no reason

how can i get support to tell me why ive been banned? my account got closed for “various and continued actions deemed inappropriate for Overwatch”, and once i filed a ticket, they repeat the exact same thing to me and expect me to know why ive been banned. i didn’t cheat, i wasn’t toxic and i have no idea what im supposed to do.

They already told you why you were banned with the info you quoted. That is the extent of how they will explain a ban, and they don’t need to offer specifics per the EULA.

You can request your account data file and that file will show why you were banned under the restrictions section. Yes you actually need to check yourself because the replies so far have most likely been bots and they aren’t trying to help you.

My account was closed in the same way where the email showed no specific reason and I had to check my account data file to see it was “banned for cheating”. It took me seven months to get to a real person that felt like actually investigating the reason and finally removing the ban because no cheating was found. I believe the emails about account closures that don’t list a specific reason are from mass reports from people knowingly abusing the system.

It wasn’t worth the stress and time. Good luck if you fight this.

If it’s a chat behavior violation, the lines should have been in the ticket(s). If it’s for cheating, the file won’t include any specifics to prevent cheaters from knowing how the system caught them.

According to the tool, it takes 30 days to fulfill the requests. So if it took 7 months, I’m wondering if they’re discontinuing that service, except in locations where legally required to continue providing it.

Requesting and receiving the data file was done very quickly, no complaints at all there.

What took seven months was making endless amounts of tickets that kept getting ignored until a genuinely helpful support agent chose to actually look at the cause and help me out.
