I was just in the middle of the ranked game, one guy in my team got disconnected and managed to come back to the game. Then it was me.
I was disconnected from the server. My internet connection was fine cause I was streaming a youtube video when it happened and didn’t have any issue there.
Then I manage to get back to the server, but I COULDNT JOIN THE PARTY AGAIN. I tried something like 15 times to join the game again, but it wouldn’t let me. After roughly 1 minutes of trying, it definitely cancelled my access to the game!
But then I wanted to queue again, I had a message telling my account was banned/suspended AND I CANT JOIN ANOTHER RANKER FOR ONE HOUR.
It’s one thing to have unstable servers that can’t hold a connection. It’s another to issue BANS because the servers themselves disconnected me from the game.
The servers are stable, you just need better wires installed in your house.
They do ban for bad internet:
" If your account was restricted from Competitive Play because of connection problems, we recommend following the steps on our Overwatch 2 Disconnection Problems article, and sticking to non-competitive matches until you’ve resolved those problems."
I do not have connection issue. I have a rock solid 100mb wired internet connection, and I was streaming when the disconnection happened, which had no issue. As another player experienced the same issue as I did but was able to join the game again with some text bug (the game displayed 4 times that this player had left). I wasn’t able to join the game again.
So I’m not interested to hear about my bad internet that works fine, I’m interested to hear what blizz is going to do to stop that crazyness from happening.
Considering you are labeling it 100mb wired, i would guess its bad internet due to packet loss, You should do a WinMTR test, blizzard is not at fault for your ignorance.

its definitely the overwatch servers lmao. hundreds of players are having the same issues. that’s a server issue, not a player issue.

Never had a problem in any game or overwatch 1, now I’m getting kicked due to server connection issue not internet connection. There servers suck and we’re being suspended and don’t even get an option to join back into ranked matches
This same thing just happened to me… I have a 1000 mb optic fibre connection and I use an ethernet cable. Literally every other game works perfectly and I have no packet loss. In short, the issue is 100% NOT on my side and blizzard sure is at fault lol.
The problem that we see most people having is games like ESO work fine while overwatch keeps crashing so the fact of the matter is rhat if it was my internet it ESO would crash far more often than overwatch. It seems like overwatch servers.
So i guess what im wondering is why does cod work, Elder scrolls online ia an MMO btw so bad internet connection would absolutely crash that. Why does it crash overwatch but not an MMO or fortnite or PUB G literally overwatch is my only gamw disconnecting.
Having the same issue. Getting disconnected all the time. It’s not my internet. Every other thing is fine, tested and dealt with it. Even cleaned my pc fresh just to be sure. Only game giving me problems. Hope there’s a fix soon.
The servers are fine and have been. You likely have a routing issue between your PC<=>router<=>modem<=>ISP<=>OW server. A WinMTR is going to be the first in line for diagnostics.
Also: Don’t play with a VPN, if you’re using one. Maybe check your firewall settings too on both your PC and your router.
I’ve done all that. It’s not the issue. Tons of people are having it and it’s being brushed by as tech issue on our side. I’ve done everything that I could and more. When I continue to play my others games flawlessly even after everything and over watch is still giving me problems?
