Accessibility Subtitles Too Small/Low

Hi! As someone that uses the in-game subtitles (and who have friends that need them because of hearing issues), I find the accessibility feature less helpful than it could be.

The text size is quite small and very low, such that it really isn’t helpful to notice enemy ultimates. For accessibility, I would like the accessibility feature to be on par with the SE (sound effect). But this accessibility feature is really hard for me to notice, whereas sound effects in isolation are not.

I have two ideas: an easy one, and a harder one.

The easier one is to make the font size bigger and/or raise the subtitle. The problem here would be if the new layout would be found to be problematic by those who aren’t hearing that play the game.

The harder option would be to make the subtitles customizable in font, size, and, to some degree, placement on the UI (even just a couple of options would help!). I think this would allow everyone who uses this feature to use it in a way that is helpful to them.

I think this would not only be a great accessibility feature, but something that Blizzard/OW could do to help lead the way for accessibility in the industry.

They’ve changed the subtitle font in the Halloween update to the one they use for Challenge descriptions and the like, though I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, as the font for speaker names is still the old one.

I’ve been asking them since 2019 for changes on subtitles.
Never got listened to once, so here’s hoping for a change

People with hearing difficulties are a very small minority in this game so we are left unheard.

Is it just me but all of my subtitles aren’t working… some of my subtitles (that would show in OW1) aren’t showing up at all.
