"Acceptable behaviour is determined by

… Blizzard and Player reports".

Just a daily reminder that this has been OW’s biggest problem since day 1.

“Games as a service”. Name one other paid, legal, service that would DARE to claim such nonsense as their ToS. Only in video games ladies and gents. And you don’t bat an eyelid about it.

The same is true of any social activity, that’s just how the world works.

Acceptable behavior is determined by most TOS’s as laid out by the company issuing it.

That being said player reports also makes sense, as reports can be refuted if they’re egregiously issued.

i like how completely disregarded that this is a paid service and jusst decided to name it “social activity”.

Pretty sure a gym that would ban a subscriber without a full refund based on anonymous “player reports”, would be a short lived gym.

It doesn’t matter if it’s paid or not, I think you’ll find membership-based social activities have the same caveats you’re describing. Not just that, but they’re actually valued, as no one wants an obnoxious person ruining their experience.

I have been player reported on the forums before and I find it stupid it ONLY happens from player reports. I believe its more fair if blizzard themselves looks into it

Cool. Name one as an example. AN Internet provider? A gym? A yoga class?

Because i find it that you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about.

You get enough people complaining about someone being offensive in some way, it’s very likely that person is getting a boot.

That’s called mob rules, that’s why societies decided that written rules, accessible by everyone, should determine what is acceptable and what is not.

Once again, if you pay for a service on any other aspect of life, they may withhold the right to not provide you with said service. But you will sure as hell be compensated for their choice.

The Alamo Drafthouse reserves the right to remove patrons who are talking, using their phones, or otherwise being disruptive. You can “report” these people by raising a flag (normally used to order food) and a manager will look into it. When they remove these people, they do so without refunding them.

Let’s see if you can spot the difference!

My point is simply that places do exist where you pay for a service and can be removed from that service without compensation.

So, what you are really saying is your account was actioned for bad behavior and now you want to shift the blame and play like you are the victim.

We both know things are more complicated than that. While there are legal rules to follow, a private establishment will have their own set of rules underneath that with additional leeway to, yes, mob rules.
