I wanted to know if people accusing me of ‘‘being boosted’’ (Which is a heavy accusation) is reportable when it comes to ‘‘Abusive Chat’’
I climb every season at least one elo.
Last Season I finished 3013, and this season (with my friend) I climbed to 3390 in 10 hours (So far)
And i’ve heard NOTHING but ‘‘you’re being boosted’’ or ‘‘reported for boosting’’
when all i’m doing is playing with a friend of equal skill level (He’s 3500) .
The comments admittedly make me feel a bit… yuck, but that’s just a case of me needing to get a thicker skin.
But I do feel like accusations of boosting is a pretty heavy accusation, and could be considered Abusive Chat…
Is this the case?

Ypu could report them and see what happens. You may not find out if it went through though

That’s fine, I just feel as if ‘‘boosting’’ is a super SUPER heavy accusations.
I do play with a DPS main, but i’m a Mercy player, it’s the smart thing to do.
But I made it to Diamond by myself, I have climbed every elo from bronze to diamond by myself before I duoed with anyone.
So I don’t want to feel like i’m being discredited and accused of something so… wrong.

Here’s my story:
S3: 1000 peak 574 end
S4: 2000 peak 2000 end
S5: 2500 peak 2400 end
S6 3000 peak 3000 end
S7: 3500 peak 3450 end
S8: 4000 peak 3800 end
S9: 3990 peak 3600 end
S10: 4150 peak 3990 end.
The rest is similar.
Point is, I went up like 500 sr per season (except for S4 when I went up about 1500sr) and along the way, people called me boosted. Granted I one tricked Mercy +Pharah in season 6 and got diamond, then from there one tricked Mercy. (No longer a one trick, in season 10 when I had enough of the abuse I made a dps account and got it to gm)
It was hell.
And honestly, just report them. See i never did, because I honestly felt like I deserved it. It was weird that I went up 3700sr since I started. I literally felt I was what they accused me of and I reported a grand total of 0 people in my 1200+ hours from s3 to s10. And I regret it, because all of those players deserve to be banned from the game.
if you play solo and cant maintain this rank. yes then you are boosted.

I started season 13 I believe.

I went from bronze, and ended in gold with a 60% win rate as Mercy.
Went from gold to plat as Symmetra.
Really hated playing DPS even though I was good at it.
Went back to Mercy, stayed in plat season 15
And climbed to 3015 season 16.
Now i’m on the road to masters.
With almost 100 hours of Mercy time.
I just feel like people are always there to discredit me, when I did it myself.
I started to think that after s10, well this was when even my friends called me boosted. It was annoying. So I started one tricking a bunch of other heroes on my alts.
One tricked Widow, Hanzo, Pharah, and Ana all to 4k. I did it just to prove to myself and others that I’m clearly not boosted.
I can easily maintain this rank by myself, with an average of 5 deaths per 10 minutes, some games ending with only 1 death, I know my hero, I know how to play, this isn’t a case of ‘‘Am I boosted’’ this is a case of can DPS players please stop accusing Mercy players of being boosted, it’s disheartening and really just not fun to listen to.
Again, I’m tired of people discounting my accomplishments.
your duo is higher sr? if you cant climb on your own then yeah they are prob carrying you.

My duo is barely 100 SR above me.
So does that mean people like Kephrii are being carried too?
These GM players only duo with t500 players.
Think before you speak.
It can go under Abusive Chat, but really, you should just ignore them. You played the game how you wanted and the end result got you where you are. If they don’t like it, then they need to look at themselves.
Yeah, like I said in the original post, I have to grow thicker skin, especially playing a hero that gets a ton of hate lol
I main Junkrat, I understand character hatred.
your post is vauge. so they started at 3k and ended at 3.5k why not try some soloq and find out.

yes actually… a lot of people agree that kephrii just got boosted by his duo partners to top500.

Abusive chat is a very vague concept.
We need solo sr and group sr so there can never be an argument about who is and isn’t boosted.
Imo being guaranteed to always have at least one good player on your team makes you more boosted than someone at your same SR who exclusively solo queues.
