About Role Queue

I think competitive OW needs a role lock, not a role queue. Long queue times seems to be the biggest issue with role queue and its losing players cause they don’t want to wait 40 mins for BS games (whether it’s a loss, a throw, or cheater on the team).

And I don’t think role lock doesn’t necessarily need 2 players per role. I think 1 role needs to be limited to just 3 players. Meaning only 1 role will have 3 players for that role. So that goats won’t be a thing anymore, and you won’t be solo healing 5 dps. But it may mean triple something will be meta, not 3-3

Can you give an examples how role lock/role queue are different? Explain the logic pls.

And how it’s gonna work with seperate sr for crying out loud?

222’s here how it is. They’re not gonna change it to anything else just cause people dont like the waiting times which they actually told that there will be consiquenses ages ago, even before 222 went on ptr.
People had enough time to prepare on that.

Also, it wasnt meant to fix things like throwers, hackers, etc if you thought it’d be like that.

The way quick play currently is now, you queue for a game and pick your role, and once the slots have been filled for that role, every other character in that role will be locked. Role queue is queuing for that specific role.

Well, for instance they could have 3 max DPS, 3 max Tanks, 2 max Healers.
For a 6 player team.
