At 150% render scale i get 60+ fps but my pc gets overheated and at 100% it seem to be not overheated, but i don’t seem to like 100% render scale, anyone knows how will i be able to use 150% without pc overheating, or is it how the game is made?
Get a better cooler.
really? omg it’s just in overwatch
Important part of this is to know what your PC specs are
it does not seem to matter, more powerful rig than mine seem to have the same problem, it seems to be the game itself.
I’ll check this to verify myself tonight. Most of my PC is higher end except the parts that matter, like my GPU and CPU. I play on 1440p, I don’t remember if I am set to 150 or 100, probably 100.
Will confirm later.
the default was on 150%, all this time i was playing with overheat gpu, anyway 100% is fine right it seems to be the sweet spot, at 150% it seems too cartoonish.
Well your GPU is working ~50% harder so it’s going to get hotter naturally. But you’re much better off playing at 100% to get more fps. Even if your monitor is only 60, allowing your GPU to output more frames will reduce latency.
Your best bet is anti aliasing as it kinda does the job without many resources requiered
Take in mind that resolution scale is basec on your current resolution, so for example 1080p 100% scale will render the 3d aspects of the game (anything but hud) at 1080p, 150% would render it at 1650p, looks much sharp and better but also consumes much power
So what you could do would be, reduce the in game resolution, and increase the render scale, this could be pointless though as if you half the resolution and double the render scale you escentially did nothing (except make the hud more pixelated)
You only play OW. There’s a lot of other games that’ll do this to your PC too. You’re just not playing them so buckle up kiddo
me just here playing at 75% render with everything on low
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, enable image sharpening in the control panel. It will look like a higher render scale, even though it’s not. You probably don’t like 100% render scale because it’s slightly fuzzier. 150 looks sharper because it’s rendering a higher resolution than your monitor can display. This might make it more bearable, and image sharpening doesn’t really come with a performance cost
What is your screen resolution in game?
kiddo?? i am 30 years old, i play lots of pc games, i play different pc games just like how your mother play different men, so it’s only in overwatch, it’s a strange thing i seem to find the solution. i hope your mother does too, don’t kiddo me, i will marry your mother and become your father keyboard warrior
Suuure you are. You ain’t just some valorant/fortnite kiddo hopping another hype/clout train and getting this salty over something like this. Roooigh roooight…
it seems i find a fix, it is now using around 65% and dont heat up taht much, it turns out if i crank up everything on ultra and use 100% render scale it seems to be fine, but since 100% make it a little pixelated, i turn down all except one in high, meaning i use ultra preset and 150% render scale that seem to fix it, its strange my pc can run it no fps drop only heat issue
Ok but what resolution are you running the game in?
1080p max resolution, it’s so strang, no fps drop simply overheat. My poor cpu, how long did it suffer before i notice it.
1920x1080 should look fine with 100% render resolution and SMAA High. Refractions will look pixelated unless they are set to High, and Shadows will look pixelated unless they are High. If the textures are pixelated, set Textures to High.
Your temp is high because you are rendering above 2k. Make sure your Frame Limit is set to Display Based.
in real life i will punch you in your face.
