So they are a terrorist Omnic group.
Ok, good but why are they different from the other Omnics? (Like Zen, Mondatta, etc).
They look more like War machines than actual “Omnics”.
Their goal is to “reach Omnic equally” in a radical way, sooooo a group of “Regular Omnics” control the troups?
Or the Null Sector troups think? Have Feelings, etc…
Because really, they seem just like Hostile AI and no sign of being “Omnics”.

I’m guessing it’s that regular Monica use those militarized omnics to reach their goals (I imagine those military omnics are doing it willingly)
That is what I don’t understand pretty well.
Like the troupers all of them, they are like I said war machines.
Not like the other Omnics, Why would a Slicer want “Equally” when is built to melt stuff, same with the Detonator which is a giant bomb.
Those would just be peons. Machines built with base programming to eliminate the opposition.
However, it’s never released or disclosed who’s actually running Null Sector. Just that it’s an extremist/terrorist group.
If we want to wrap that back to real life, an extremist group would be a group of people that have radical ideals. So, it’s safe to assume that there is a group of Omnics that have these radical ideals and thus built these other machines to try and take over everything.
It shows that they don’t care much about the opposition, especially taking Mondatta hostage and all that.
But, it was all a “was” group that doesn’t exist anymore. Maybe someday Blizzard would release who actually ran it via a comic or something.

That makes sense, I wish that they would reveal who were the head of Null Sector tho…
Since it was a group, probably just under the general label of “Null Sector” and they weren’t fighters themselves. Just activist.
I do like the story around Null Sector though, so I’m with you and hope that they will release more info about it all.
I lump it in with things like PETA. They are an extremist group but no one person is really targeted directly (even though we obviously can look up who’s in charge for PETA) but they act as an organization as a whole.

I dunno, but they definitely need to recruit more of whatever Zenyatta’s model is. Can you imagine a Null Sec army backed up by a couple of battalions of Zen?
Shudders.

Now I’m bothered by the concept of self-aware Omnics directing non-sentient troops made up of their lesser brethren in battle. I mean, if slicers and detonators are just machines, how do the others feel about them? Is there a morality to the whole thing? What about the Bastions and OR14s we have to face, are they anything like the “good” Bastion and Orisa?
Are the lesser Omnics a slave class, a pet class, or simple, unfeeling tools to be sent to the slaughter?
The mind boggles.
They’re probably more like Bastion.
They’re preprogrammed to kill, their consciousness is locked behind that.
Plot twist : It’s Zenyatta
