I missed it due to ads, but after asking in chat apparently he said it is too resource intensive and an update is not in the cards.

Thats infuriating. So they’re abandoning the workshop? Wow. Bunch of DEI hires smh what more can we expect…
Very sad. I heard it in another stream aswell, I think it was Deemzies. The new features obviously cost a lot of devs.
Maybe we can get a friendly mode officially? 
They should reconsider making better mod tools. GTA wouldn’t have the numbers it has on twitch. Without mods. It would bring more viewership to overwatch. Which could increase the player count.
