A world of Humans AND Omnics

I’m sorry if my comments come off a bit harsh. I really want more Omnic heroes, but it seems like Blizzard hasn’t added any in a while. They seem to be focusing more on human-like characters, around 9 to 10 feet tall. Here are my thoughts:

  1. Recent heroes like Illari, Juno, Hazard, Freya, and the upcoming Chinese character all have standard human proportions, which are easier to design artistically.
  2. If you look at the skin surveys, it’s clear that heroes with standard body types and well-defined meta attributes (like character anchors) are more likely to get new skins.
  3. I checked out Hazard’s early designs, which were distinctive, fun, and matched Blizzard’s usual art style. But the final design feels chaotic and unrecognizable, like a mix of Sigma and Mauga’s faces put through an AI.

By the way, I always thought each season should have a consistent theme, like Season 14’s winter theme or Season 13’s focus on the Middle Ages and Mythology. Honestly, I don’t get what Blizzard means by “honor-glory” when they release skins that don’t seem related at all. I can’t find the “honor” or the “glory” in them.

So, I’m worried we’ll just keep getting more heroes and skins for characters like Mercy and Kiriko that don’t fit the theme. As for Ramattra, I’m not sure—maybe he’s already been forgotten. :broken_heart:
