As of late it seems a trend has developed in the OW community. With the last few releases, we’ve had people coming to the forum to whine and complain about almost every hero that has been released save for Orisa (for good reason, she’s about as fun to play as watching paint dry).
With the past three. people have come to this forum and complained.
It was Doomfist, then it was Moira, and now they’ll scream bloody murder at Brigette until she’s nerfed. I thought Mercy had it bad but it seems it all started with her.
I suspect Hero 28 will have a lynch mob after it too. Then people will rant and rave, ‘why dey don’t require any skill’ even though AIM is the skill they of course talk about which is nonsense, but hey, muh dps.
I wonder what group of players do all of this ranting and raving…

before anyone else reads I’m excluding the sombra mains, those guys have been getting picked apart and tossed around since their main dropped. That said the others are fair game Doomfist to Bastion.
Describe hard work. It’s all relative. Hard work is hard work regardless of who you play. Winston is uprobably the easiest character in the game, are you telling me that a GM winston put in less hard work than the plat stuck tracer?
I hate how there’s no such thing as just being powerful. It’s always “OP” this and “OP” that. No hero in this game is powerful. If they’re powerful, apparently it automatically means they’re OPAF and need a nerf right now so I don’t have to switch to counter them like I’m supposed to.
Yea it must have been an exaggeration when we asked for mercy nerfs, brigitte nerfs, hanzo nerfs…oh wait they were actually extremely overpowered and blizzard realized this and they nerfed them. amazing.
As of late I’ve noticed an elitist attitude of older players who think they are entitled to keep the game just the way they like it as it fits them. Not everyone has hundreds of hours to pour into a game in order to have fun. Maybe enjoy the challenge of these new players and characters instead of decrying it.
Extreme exaggeration yes, given you all constantly whine and gripe about x hero. Why nerf mercy again? No, people cried about them, they came to the forum and threw a tantrum and got what they wanted like children. These heroes weren’t marked as overpowered until a DPS player got tired of trying to play around them or switching.
and don’t forget the general lack of well… Awareness from so many of them. O hey, where’s Mercy? Hiding? Man I can;t find her.
People did it for every hero, including Orisa so I don’t know why you specifically excluded her. These forums have been whining about Orisa for at least a year, either she needs buffed, she’s broken OP, or she’s boring to play - the forums never stopped complaining about her.
Edit: And in fact I remember the popular complaint being “She has a mini grav on cooldown, that’s so OP!”
To be fair, recent additions are some of the most annoying heroes to be pitted against. Moira’s lock on is forgiving, combined with her pocket orbs you’ll find yourself losing most battles. Brigitte is literally hold M1 to kill and self heal, but if that doesn’t work, you can just keep comboing the enemy.
They are so unfun to play against it’s mind bending to see how Mercy was reworked for being unfun to play against when these two simply exist.
I have to ask after reading this… do you ever play the character to learn how to counter her? I mean, you break off or approach when she’s looking away. Her Orbs… well heck man just move out of the way… I play a couple hours a day, she’s just not that bad…
I used to participate on the forums a bit more… But all of these darn “nerf ___” threats have been getting on my nerves lately. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were right about hero 28. >.>
